@Bovidae That's a good sign for the All Blacks that the under-20's are consistently developing good backs. Because it's the worst part of the current All Blacks team.
-
@Mauss It's interesting that next years team doesn't look as bad as you would have thought with the lack of success at the schoolboy level. Particularly with the success of Sinton & Muliaina at Provincial level last year. It's scary to think Muliaina is eligible for the next 2 Under 20 world cups
-
@canefan 2 more years to find cohesion before the World Cup
-
@Jet Jordan had great season individually and Roigards our most influential player but as a collective the backs never really functioned & the forwards were good as a unit but Ardie was the standout individual forward
-
6/10 for me this year. Best win of the season against SA. Worst defeat against. Ardie best player. Forwards good too great, backs average 2nd year in a row a backs coach has been replaced
-
@canefan Roigard is our most influential player at the moment only problem is he is injury prone. Definitely think the game would have panned out differently if Roigard was on the field when England went down to 14 players
-
Definitely think Ardie will be rested against Wales, alongside of BB, Cam Roigard & Will Jordan
-
@MN5 Jordan’sthe best at straightening the line from fullback. Otherwise it’s all sideways and predictable
-
@Grooter it’s another loss where it could have been a career defining win for Razor. But it is also some what predictable in the Razor era to drop the hardest game and the most important game of the tour
-
Don’t think Jordie Barrett’s a 15. I would have Will Jordan at Fullback. Leicester at centre and Caleb Clarke on the left wing. Folau Fakatava as the backup 9 over Ratima. Big issue is Roigards health
-
All Blacks have responded well from loses this year. Lost to Argentina destroyed SA at Eden Park. Lost to SA smashed the Wallabies next week. Wales should prepare for black lash
-
@Victor-Meldrew problem is razor being burnt from experience players lack of discipline Cody Taylor this week. Ardie last week. Pre Foster South Africa were way more ill disciplined.
-
I think it’s difficult for Razor to get rid of the ill discipline within the All Blacks from the Foster era. We see it in the Chiefs & why they can’t win important games & it’s rares it head in the All Blacks
-
@Bovidae he’s at the Knights now playing NSW Cup hasn’t debut yet in NRL
-
Plus people tend to make a bigger deal out of it if they choose the Warriors. Tevita Naufahu went to the Dolphin’s nobody cared
-
The difference in the NRL is you can play in 3 different grades in the same year. Where you can't do that in New Zealand rugby with the way the season is structured. Just look at Makasini from last years schoolboy game. He played SG Ball, Jersey Flegg, NSW cup and made his NRL debut all in the same year.
-
I think Xavier Tito-Harris was also signed to the Warriors and then played for NZ Schools
-
@taniwharugby For the majority but guys like Etene Nanai & Francis Manulelua, Siale Pahulu. I even think picking Nico Stanley young was to prevent from being signed to an NRL club
-
Australia's improvement comes from the fact that lots of rugby schools are giving scholarships to league players. Something that has happened for years in New Zealand
