Correct has an Irish passport - from what I understand he was a halfback at Stream and because he was a year ahead of himself at school he went to Ulster for like a gap year and made Ulster U19’s. Turned down an Academy contract there. Came back made a Wgtn XV played against NZU20’s and Ricki Flutey converted him to 10 for Wgtn U19’s.
Scored a try for the Canes against the Saders in a preseason match back in Feb 2019 but broke his leg in the process. Could have found himself playing professional rugby sooner but he has won Jubilee Cups in 2020 and 2024 and has played over 75 Prem club rugby games in Wgtn at 9, 10, 12, and 15.
He has a body of work behind him

Clarke went to hospital with a suspected broken ankle

@Canes4life I think by that stage he had been converted to a 10 and the Canes put him on at 15

@Dan54 for sure - still feels a bit odd

@gt12 He hasn’t had any time at 9 since U19’s but he cleared ball from a few rucks for the Lions and Canes this year - so yep at a super pinch - why not
