@Mauss it’s a shame Australia lost Treyvon Pritchard during the tournament to a head knock he looked on target to become the MVP , had all the skills including pace to burn
Very impressed with Anru Erasmus , like Pritchard one to watch moving forward

@SouthernMann Hearing Green Island player Heath Mac Ewan is training with the Highlanders, apparently he’s a converted loose forward that plays hooker , heard some good things about him
Very sizeable and mobile , could be heading North
Know much about him ? -
@cgrant possibly but you never know I was surprised Ethan Roots was capped and I never saw him as international player , 1 game for the NZ Māori
-
@hikastags @Bovidae
..Was chatting to Pouri’s dad a few weeks ago, couldn't say too much but now that the cats out of the bag ,heads off to Newcastle Red Bulls post Super Rugby
Domiciled on around 95 x games for Hawkes Bay atm but I guess he can catch those when he returns to NZ
Also has an english mother and grandparents so also qualifies for england -
@sparky Great to hear, I’m hoping his time up North gives him the opportunity to resurrect his All Black career next season , I knows he’s not everyone’s cup of tea but for me he’s too good athlete to be overlooked especially given lack of midfield stocks in NZ Rugby
-
@sparky how did Reiko go .?
-
@hikastags there’s a bit of that floating around re Lam on the move as well , my contact who is involved with Auckland rugby and is no mean coach himself said there’s was a lot of disappointment in the Auckland ranks about the attitude of the senior players who returned from super rugby .
I know that the Crusaders were waiting to swoop on Sam Hainsworth Fa’aofo , they had seen how effective he was for the Blues in the preseason earlier in the year playing at 7.
Hainsworth Fa’aofo was disappointed he was shunted into the 8 jersey for Auckland as opposed to the 7 that he felt more comfortable in and giving him the best opportunity to pick up a full super contract fortunately for Sam the Crusaders had already noted that preseason performance -
@DurryMexted hope you have made a full recovery, sounds like Faleafa has big rehab ahead of him.
-
@Daffy-Jaffy heard from a team mate of Robson Faleafa that he suffers from
Turf Toe: Hyperextension of the big toe joint, common during tackles or when the foot is planted and the body is forced forward, can cause significant pain and ligament damage. It’s a real issue on the foot plant especially at scrum time apparently struggled during the Under 20 RWC this year
Faleafa will require an operation to correct this issue
From what I have been told , Riley Tofilau is a better scrummager but missed the NZ 20 team because of his fitness
Saw Riley play for the Blues Super Development squad this year and he more than held his own against the Chiefs and Moana Props who were all experienced provincial players -
Spoke to a contact yesterday Taufa Funaki more than likely leaving NZ rugby after the 2026 super season wants to represent Tonga at the 2027 RWC
-
@Bovidae thanks for the update be great to see us full strength at some stage during the series
-
@Bovidae have’nt seen any of the games from overnight but i suspected , without Rob Rush,Molia and Ware that it would be a tough as and the Blitz Boks at home are always tough
I wonder how far away Manson and Solo from returning from injury ?
Did Tocker get any game time .? -
Windies were paying around $100 bucks yesterday to win , i did’nt see what the draw was paying but safe to assume it would have been around the $20 mark
Dont forget to bet responsibly -
We need to bowl a few gimmies to get them making some shots
-
2 runs in that over ,hint of a launch ?
-
@Chris-B Geez regardless how this plays out its been a sensational performance from the Windies
-
How many overs to go ?
-

I see the MLR draw for 2026 was announced yesterday and boy its odd
-
@hikastags wondering if theres going to be a U18 NZ Barbarians and an U18 NZ Māori team
In the main though is baffling that the player of the tournament misses out
