So are we going to have a “Vote for the best catch of all time “ poll?
Been great reliving some classic moments!

@KiwiPie said in 2019 Cricket ODI WC:

I reckon it is going to be one of England, Australia or India with the West Indies next in the rankings. I really don't think this NZ team is good enough, batting too reliant on KW and RT (who aren't going to reach a 350+ score) and bowling too reliant on Boult with the new ball.

    What KP said 🤓

    Awesome!!!
As the TSF original cricket correspondent couldn’t have gone to a better bloke🤓

In 2000 I took my 4 & 2 year old sons to the Sydney Easter Show and we visited the Wallabies stand. They had the full set of cups back then.
RWC, Bled, Cook etc and I remember saying to them "Treasure this moment lads because you will never see all these cups together in Australia again"
Right so far.....

    I am really enjoying this!
Channel 7 in Oz always takes great delight after the first couple of days in showing Oz is 5th on the medal table and NZ is 31st.
So now they are 10th and we are 14th they no longer make the comparison.
And we've won more than half as many medals as them.

Now bring on the Bledisloe!!

I've been here since 1999. In the old days it was like a public bar in a country pub with a bunch of blokes talking footy and hanging out.

The pub got renovated in the mid 2000's and a few of the old guys dropped off as the new crowd came in and have continued to do so since.

Been some true characters on here and I've learnt heaps about rugby plus been able to follow NZ's other sporting success's like the Basketball World Champs.

Still check out TSF every day and find it invaluable in keeping up with Kiwi sport.

I think the weigh in for Saturday-Sunday-Monday was something like

94.9
98.3
94.9
[/quote]

I can relate to that exactly Nick!!
Have my kids every second weekend and no matter how I try to monitor it by the time I drop them back on Monday the good work has been undone.
Much easier now to get it back to a respectable weight after a blowout though.....

Congrats on cracking 95!! Its where I'm at as well right now.
Love the moment when you crack it then run around the house naked yelling out FIGJAM FIGJAM!!!

14th May - Currently weighing in at 111kg I have a wedding to attend on November 4th .........

One week out from the wedding and I've trimmed down to 95kg.
My diet was certainly more crappy than I thought!
Exercised hard for the first month but have done very little since to be honest.

Cutting out tea, coffee and all sugary drinks ( with the exception of a few grogs in the weekend)and replacing them with water has been really important I believe.

Anyhow I'm pretty happy with the way things have gone and my waist is the smallest its been in 25 years.

Got another wedding in March and the target weight is 87kg.
Will need to start exercising to achieve it so will start after the weekend when I intend to eat and drink shiteloads!!!!!

Agreed Bart - Was really looking at a shock tactic to the body to get me going and have achieved that.
Now I need to plan a sustainable ongoing healthy diet diet and crank up the exercise.
Correct?

  • Xpat bites the bullet

    Had a good first week.
Ate fruit through the day and one meal at night (Shiftwork)
Drank 4 litrers of water a day and nothing else.
Busy at work so only did 4 exercise sessions of oone hour at a time.
Dropped 5kg!!!
Fully aware that now I have to start putting serious work in exercise wise to get down to target weight but as Bart said having bthat early result is a great motivator.

  • Xpat bites the bullet

OK - So I've cut all the excess sugar from my diet ie no grog, cordial, soft drink or suagry foods.
Bought a big stack of fruit to compensate and I'm drinking four litres of water a day.
I only have one main meal a day as it is ( get a bloody good feed at work )
Exercising one hour per day currently 20 mins on rowing machine and 40 mins walking.

I'm 6 foot and big boned - Just need to get rid of the gut and especially the man boobs.
Such an unattractive look!!!
Man boob tips anyone?

As a reward for my effort I'm going to allow myself one night to have a few drinks but that will be monitored closely (and not by me)

Thanks for the tips fellas.

Ok. I've read this forum many times so I know how well so many of you have done and its now time for me to take this thing seriously!
Currently weighing in at 111kg I have a wedding to attend on November 4th which I have to be looking good (be thinner) for.
I have too much sugar in my diet (that would be alcohol) so obviously that has to go, but apart form that I have a fairly healthy diet.
I've got a rowing machine. Its not flash but tells me how far I've gone and how long I've been going.

What do the experts think is an achievable target weight by then and what tips can you throw my way?
