Amid the mediocrity on display in Black, Wallace Sititi has been yet again a shining light. So much to like about his game.
Been watching him around the ruck - some really intelligent stuff.
Good thing Robertson was forced to pick him.....
He’ll have to fight for his spot once Ethan is fit though

Lucky it doesn’t happen often enough to be a problem

@mencey There's four or five players out there in the first half that I think we can do without next year.
Names? Some of the ones roasted on here have scored tries so without being able to see the game it is hard to get a good handle on that. BB seems obvious from the comments.
@nostrildamus Sam Cane, Ardie Savea, Beauden Barrett, ALB.
Maybe Mark Telea and Scott Barrett won't be in the starting XV.

Funny how with Schmidt as coach all of a sudden a number of Foster era All Blacks looked better.
Shame he didn’t want to be part of this group
There was some politics or personality issues going on, perhaps,
My understanding is he met with Razor and decided he didn’t want to work with him. It’s a shame as I think the mix would have given us some good balance.

I think it was more about loyalty to Ian Foster as he was part of his team and brought him in.
Well that was what Gregor Paul was saying in the herald.
Essentially Fozzie handed the team over to Schmidt and Ryan and the improvement was fairly immediate and we were a good side. It’s a shame they didn’t have more time with the team leading into the World Cup.
I think everyone got carried away with the hype around Razor but I always thought Schmidt was far too good a coach to be lost to NZ rugby. We would be a better side rn if he was in charge.
Still Razor is learning international rugby on the job so I expect big improvements next year.

We have too much talent for Italy, but man we are such a poorly selected and coached side right now. Surf Jesus has turned out to be a poor man's Fozzie but also with a strong bias to his own region.
Steady on.
You are going to defend Foster on one freak game?
Surf Jesus wept.No. Just pointing out that Robertson's arguably the most over-hyped AB coach in my lifetime.

Gee. I wouldn't have guessed A was pointing out B.

The hype want so much around razor as the desperate desire to move on from late Hansen/foster shit. Sadly we still haven't, and razor is just carrying that torch forward. I blame Wayne Smith, he's past it but still had massive influence, and hasn't adjust to the reality of test rugby at the top today

So the 27-6 and 20-6 matches under Henry means? He pretty much picked the same side 5 months apart. Rubbish coach.

It's a funny argument when one of the premises needs to be based on the consistency of Italian rugby to compete against.

To be honest, I think them dropping SB, even from just the captaincy, is very unlikely.

Better execution and communication between 8 and 9

@nostrildamus Unless he becomes clearly the third or fourth choice Lock.

What about his assistants, are they learning as well?
I agree Ryan improved the side, but that improvement seems to be ebbing.
