I'm not saying he would have DMac's talent, but he has the sort of steadiness good players can build off, that a slower less confident BB lacks.

Lot of criticism of BB and he has been shit today. It's a shame because he has played some good games this season. Unfortunately, he has just never learnt some important things which could have made him an all time great.

It's been such an odd season. Generally the Fern is known for awful analysis and incorrect conclusions but this year the Fern has seen the obvious problems with game plan and selection a mile away, and those concerns have materialised basically every time. It's been like watching someone that knows nothing about test rugby make obvious mistakes over and over again. We knew it was going to be a steep learning curve for Razor but I didn't expect it to be this steep, with so little learnt along the way.

Scott Barrett, and the midfield should be nervous. Havilli shouldn't be in the squad at all. And the wings need pace. And the restarts are terrible. Etc etc etc

At the end of the day, this test means nothing, and regardless of what happens from here, is one nobody will remember. Lest we forget last time we played Italy in Italy, it was also a shitfest.
I think this was probably partly down to the fact a bunch of old guys didn't really fancy playing properly after a long tour in zero degrees temperatures.
This isn't exactly on the coach, because he wasn't the one kicking the ball, dropping it, failing to clear rucks etc. Italy clearly wanted it to be fair to them, but that was horrific. Plenty of time to reflect on this season, but I will say making sweeping statements on this game alone is a little silly.
