    Did we "first test at the 'gabba" them and trick them in to bowling first?

    Quite possibly, they’ve got a few to seam around but on the whole there hasn’t been any demons in the pitch.

    Should be great to bat on this arvo.

    Shame 2 wickets down though given the attack and lack of demons

    @nzzp aged well didn’t it.

    Were fucked now, will be all out for 150 before tea.

    Better, but still a bit too positive.

    Kane has now moved past Graham Gooch on the all time Test run scorers list. Now 19th of all time. https://www.espncricinfo.com/records/most-runs-in-career-223646

    I'll risk a ban and say 114/2 at lunch after being put into bat is a great result, especially as our two best players are still at the crease.

    This is a great stat i learnt about Kane earlier today..

    Don Bradman scored a Test hundred every three innings, approximately speaking. Who holds the corresponding record in ODIs? asked Tim Sanderson from England
    Don Bradman scored 29 hundreds in his 80 Test innings, a rate of better than one every three - he reached 100 in a staggering 36.25% of his Test innings. Next (of those who batted at least 30 innings) come a pair of West Indians: George Headley, with ten centuries in 40 innings (25%) and Clyde Walcott with 15 in 74 (20.27%). The leading current player is Kane Williamson, with 32 hundreds in 180 innings (17.77%), just ahead of Harry Brook (six in 35, or 17.14%).

    Back to back fours from K Willy, he's starting to hit his stride.

    Ravindra on 34 from 46 balls, K Williamson on 38 from 82.

    BCs 130/2 from 31 overs.

    Bugger, Ravindra gone after smoking a full toss to an English fielder. Soft wicket that.

    Sumo got rid of RR.

    His co-commentator (Katey Martin?) had just pulled him up on it!

    @bayimports wrong.

    It's a 700 run pitch. We are well behind in this game. Might as well go home now.

    I would suggest Ravindra could learn a lot from watching Williamson. He still struggles slightly to find a tempo in test cricket, I feel he could still be a little more patient.

    It will come. But I don’t think there’s too much to work on. Reckon he balances the urgency to score runs and the demands of test cricket pretty well already.

    That was just an off shot which happens every now and then for all quality batsmen.

    Could've just ducked under the short balls - I reckon England would soon lose interest.

    It's a bit of a sucker wicket!
