    End of the day ,

Razor might be the wrong coach and ardie might be a dick ,

Both can be true , doesn’t have to be one or the other .

If they are both true, the new coach has to straighten him out or kneecap him ASAP. No one should be bigger than the team, no one is expendable. I hope Kirk and the executive know what the dynamics were in the team and give the new coach a mandate to do whatever it takes to clean up the trash

    Should be a ripper comp!

Lol hope so mate, I warned my mates, for next couple fo months, I will probably only play 9 holes on a Sunday (our club days) as I will probably just watch and 6Ns game from night before. I started a 9 hole thing starting at 12, so a few of can do a quiet hit ,then catch up with rest from the comps !

Hmm, I just assumed he'd be going to the forwards with his rugby background, but guess I assumed wrong. But I think the days of league backrowers going automatically to 12 should be done. Worked spectacularly with SBW and then not so much with Burgess.

Didn't SBW start on the wing?

I'm not sure, but I think most of his rugby was played in the midfield.

India can bat eh. Going to be hard to beat them in their conditions.

Given the ongoing similarities between Baseball and T20, I wonder if knockouts should be a best of 3 or 5 ... more eyeballs, reduce the randomness.

I actually like Canes attitude on this throw us out a tidbit and keep us talking about them and the super comp.

Worked really well for the landers when they extended TB's contract.

Yep, what I meant though we all moan at times about not enough promo etc for super rugby, just I think putting out bits like this keeps us discussing it a bit. Why I think NZ teams do so well at getting a team on news most weeks during perseason. I must admit after living in Aus for 20 years where you were lucky to hear or read any rugby on news, I just like seeing it.
Something we used to do in one club I was on committee of in NZ years back, we would try and find some reason to get the club in local newspaper (not for bad shit)especially and when we were looking for sponsors made sure we showed tham how often we got mentioned etc.

    You guys were obviously amazing.

Well we didn't have internet and non de plumes to hide behind! We just did stuff huh

Bloody Razor. When will it end!

Following his departure as All Blacks head coach in January 2026 after a performance review, Scott Robertson has been linked with potential coaching roles in Europe and elsewhere. While speculation exists regarding his next move—including potential interest from Newcastle (potentially in a director of rugby role) or clubs like Harlequins—no official appointment has been confirmed.

Looks like Bangladesh are going to be withdrawing from the World Cup as their government doesn't think it is safe to travel to India and the ICC won't allow them to move their games to Sri Lanka:

Pretty poor from the ICC IMO.

Especially poor when India was allowed to play their games at home when Pakistan hosted....

I think the European competition is broken, the tv coverage of rugby in the UK, but particularly in England is a nightmare with it being split across so many channels etc. The inclusion of South African teams doesn't work IMO. Not sure how to fix it

Tell them to go back to playing in their own comps

Heard some chatter that the cheetahs might end up playing in the super competition. So there’s that.

Kazuma and Foxy both underway on their opening rounds. Hillier off soon and playing with Viktor and DJ. Great group! Having said that Foxys isn’t bad either. Quality field.

They were mighty pissed off weren't they ? again, would have ruined the doco to have this carry on in there......

Hard to believe he retired at just 25 years old.
    Excitement plus.

Didn't his knees go? Will have to google ...

Went just before the '76 tour to SA. Played well in that series but retired after second '77 Lions Test when he knee really went. Also had enough Test rugby by then and wanted to further his career.

    Sad news.

Yeah - he played with a big cast on his knee at times and I'm pretty sure in South Africa.

Electric, but tiny - and fiery. Recall him running in from the wing to throw a punch against - I think - the BIL.

Still remember that commentary of "there's a line-up out to the right...Batty...intercept...."

Craig Wickes another whose knee took him out in those days.
