@Jet thats 100% down to the kit sponsor though, they always wear the latest version of boots, in the last colour
I get it and dont disagree, 2015 black out looked cool....its just not that simple
the more i think about it the less of an issue i think it is...because its not a individual choice like it might be in NPC or super, they wear adidas is which ever colour adidas is pushing this season, the only choice they get is the model

McCaw and co would not be wearing illuminous green boots.
We have "allowed" this to happen behind the scenes.
I can let it slide when Carter got gold Predators for his 100th.
The rest of the sunshine boys have not earned it.

@Jet i think he would because i dont think he spent his time worry about stuff like that, free boots? ok....im going to go play rugby now
I disagree. Himself and Mealamu , Thorne et al would have snuffed it out.

yeah, but i dont think its like that anymore, the correct sponsorship deal they get to pick from like 3 boots and all in the same colour, it was different back then when people picked what they wanted from any of the adidas boots, and id rather they were playing rugby that moaning about the colour of their boots

It's not like that anymore because the "adults" in the room are gone and retired.
The legacy has been eroded, and we have a team full of immature kids out there.
Our two generals Ardie and Beaudy are headless chooks.
Leaderless on and off the pitch.
It seems like a tiny thing, but its indicative of the rot that has set in, to where we are now, where someone like Ardie who has won fuck all, is acting passive aggressive to get a coach sacked.
I bet you the likes of McCaw are disgusted with him.

as much as i hate to break up such an interesting circle jerk, but don't the entire team wear the exact same coloured boot?

-
@mariner4life thats what i was saying, its not individuality
in saying all this, wasnt tat worried about actually moving and carrying on the discussion

I understand the powers that be want to do a bit of thread house keeping, but to me these little deviations from tradition speak to the gradual decline of the team/aura/institution.
Sabbaticals, Social media, Ardie doing press conferences with Raybans recording from his point of view, boot colours.
We are lacking the humility and quiet pragmatism of bygone days.
Just my two cents.
The coloured boots remind me of when you have a fight with the missus about the dirty dishes in the sink.
Its never really just about the dishes.

So apt that Ardie (albeit in trainers) is wearing a different colour to the rest.
