I can't believe how often the ball has just beaten little nothing pushes by English batters. If we had better luck & catching today they're probably all out for 150.

Oh and edges flying into space!

Averages 33 with the bat, 27 with the ball and one of the best fielders going. I don't understand why we don't bat him at 6 ahead of Blundell. Seems like a great dressing room guy too.

I’m just going to ignore how weird and creepy this is 😉

Brook gets a hundred and now Blundell has dropped him down the leg side.

We might as well give up!

Urgh this has been a tough day to watch. Hopefully this is the low point and we bounce back tomorrow. The nice thing is the match is still pretty even. England have their nose in front now, but a good session will get us back in front.

A few years ago in Australia we dropped a bunch - including Marnus on multiple occasions - but, I don't think it was quite as embarassingly bad as this.

    That's at least 6 we've dropped!

Pretty average really for him considering he is a keeper. The coach should make the whole team have some catching practice straight after the days play.
I hope they all get fined like $500 per catch they dropped.

I'm too annoyed to comment further really. We should be fucking smashing them but instead they are ahead.

@No-Quarter We've given them six lives to specialist batsmen. That's an extra innings for their top order - and we may not be finished with Christmas yet!

England's day. NZ were able to score a few runs this morning, but weren't able to push onto close to 400 to put significant pressure on England.

Excellent NZ bowling reduced England to 71-4, but then the counter-attack happened. Harry Brook is far too good a batsman to drop four times and get away with it. England have the possibility of posting a really big score, but if NZ get both Brook and Stokes out early tomorrow they are right back in it.

Advantage England, but the first session tomorrow could be fascinating.

Looks like we'll have to savour it like Hobart 2011 🙂
