Reckon Chelsea are a good chance to challenge Liverpool for the top spot. Playing very well at the moment.

Think the Aussie coach is heading for the sack at Tottenham. They seem too brittle.

Not so sure yet, seem to score more goals than anyone but they had had significant injuries at the back. Dont think he is dead man walking yet, but he needs to start finding wins.
Mickey VDV back this week will help but probably need a soft draw to help settle spurs nerves

Problem with Ange is he only has one way of playing. It's bloody entertaining for the neutral, but once out of possession, they look extremely vulnerable as they play so high up the pitch, leaving holes galore in the centre of the park and behind the fullbacks. It looks great when plan A comes off, but when it doesn't, the solution seems to be to keep going with plan A until it does come off.

I think it is more of a culture change that everyone has to buy into, look at Celtic etc, even Bournemouth play in a similar way under Iraola. They need more effort from their mids in my mind. Spurs played ok until they had to sub their defenders, but against us Maddison and co were way off the pace

I agree though its a higher risk game plan

GON probably most at risk manager right now, last dance vs Ipswich this weekend I think, if he even gets a shot at Ipswich. Wolves in real trouble

So, Gary O'Neil first one gone, but only by a whisker, Russel Martin joins the sacked managers club the very next day.

Although the round not completely over yet, Fulham take a point off the current favorites which is a big result. Forest continue to surprise. City blow another lead. Spurs continue their topsy turvy form and Chelsea continue their rise.

              Interesting weekend for sure

Fuck! Fulham have the Saints in the next round. We're doomed.

After taking 6 from Spurs, Brighton, Arsenal, Liverpool it would be very Fulhamish to drop points to the bottom club - we did it last year. and our two worst performances this season have been against Wolves and Ipswich.

The last thing we needed was a new Mgr bounce.

Chelsea are on fire at the moment. Manager is doing a great job. Last year was the Cole solo show, this year they’re a team.

Chelsea are as good as City are mentally fragile.

Liverpool still in pole position although by the time they play next they could well be second (with two games in hand).

They for me are still the best team in the league tho.

Despite the win, United are still pretty poor. Amorim no magic touch so far.

@dogmeat Surely we are tougher mentally than we have been in the past.
It has been a major frustration over the years how well they can play against the top teams and how shit they can be against teams below them. Even in their great championship year they were doing that.

@middleman They were doing it last year. Dropped 7 points to Sheffield and Burnley, but yeah I would hope we smack Southampton.

Tottenham terrible against Liverpool. With the difference in quality they needed to play park the bus not rush forward and leave acres of space. Men vs boys. Reckon the Aussie is in trouble.

Only saw the highlights and from that it looked a bit of a freakish result as United had a lot of good chances/goalmouth scrambles - Bruno alone looked like he had 10 shots. However Bournemouth ruthless and United's defence is always shaky. The tackle for the penalty was awful and the 3rd goal was very nicely worked.

It was definitely men v boys, Liverpool are much too good to be that reckless against with only one first choice in your defensive unit. Whenever Spurs managed to move up the pitch they were only a misplaced pass away from conceding a goal. The 5th goal illustrated it best - Kulusevski has an easy pass to put Porro into a huge space all on his own, he dallies and the Liverpool left side that wasn't covering Porro score down the other end. Entertaining though. Gravenberch looks some player in the midfield.

Tottenham terrible against Liverpool. With the difference in quality they needed to play park the bus not rush forward and leave acres of space. Men vs boys. Reckon the Aussie is in trouble.

0-6 at home for Man U covering last two years v Bournemouth lol. Love it

That's why as a neutral I like Ange haha. His teams are entertaining to watch.

Everton's 4th goalless draw in 6 games. They're so hard to break down as are all of sean dyche's teams. If you don't score against them in the first 25-30 mins, it makes for a hard afternoon.
