4 day test cricket is pretty much here already

Other than weather it's getting rarer that a test goes to day 5 now

    Officially it will be.

I firmly believe Test cricket is the best form of the game by absolute far.

However at its worst it is terrible when it meanders.

Cricket haters will always use the old adage ‘what’s the point in a game that lasts five days and always ends in a draw?’

How is our catching so, so poor. That's just regulation, should be taken 10 times out of 10. Awful stuff.

Timmy should have had another wicket but Latham drops a regulation slip catch to give Joe Root a life.

One thing I'll say for Timmy - he's still a more reliable catcher than Tommy!!!

They scored 800 in an innings earlier this year didn't they?

That dropped catch is going to cost a lot of runs.

Root will score a big 100 now, heard it here first.

@Gunner he averages over 50, so statistically speaking Latham has dropped an easy 50 runs there, probably more. It still grates me how dismissive he was about our catching, it's not even club level standard at the moment.

WOR is some player. High 140's and troubling people with bounce. Great to see.

Both Root and Bethell copped one in the family jewels

    Root LBW to Santner.

    Thank me later.

Matt Fisher was bowling thunderbolts last week at Maunganui, and this is his home ground.

But, the giant camel was already ordered. Sacrificing 25kph of pace is a small price to pay for the pleasure of having a giant camel at the ground. Priorities.

Southee is the only one I have confidence in in the slips. A specialist fielder. 😉

Mitchell snaflled everything in India, but has dropped some this series from memory.

We should be elite fiedlers. It's just practice and attitude.
