Bumrah has a huge chunk of India's wickets this series. Without him they'd be very middling

absolutely I agree with @No-Quarter about Bumrah best cricketer in the world right now, he has the cheat code

    Lance Morris is quick

think he was meant to tour India but got injured, have heard he is quick

Yeah he is quick sprays it a bit hence his nickname Wild thing.
The quickest could be 19 year old Mahli Beardman he already is bowling 145ks ,
He has a contract with the Scorchers for the Big Bash.

Travis Head apparently has an injured groin. No good.

Boland in for Hoff but wondering who the next batsman in line will be?

Bus Change has used up his nine batting lives it seems.

Would Travis Head be the best cricketer in the world right now?

Head has been going well but his record even in recent times is only very good without being great. For me Bumrah is at the top, conditions at home don't often suit him and playing overseas is always challenging, but he just continues to carve up and his record just gets better all the time. Incredible player. After that I have Kane, he has been consistently the best batsmen in the world for a number of years now but just doesn't play as much as the others. He is aging like a fine wine at the moment, consistently knocking out 50s and 100s whenever he gets the chance, which won't be for a while now as our summer of tests appears to be over already...

    Interesting point.

In the absence of world class all rounders ( Ashwin and Jadeja have fantastic numbers but definite home track bullies ) is the best player a bowler or batsman ?

Brook and Bumrah are absolute first picks in a World XI for me.

Maybe Bumrah is the best based on more longevity?

They will bring in Konstas and move McSweeney down the order. But I think they would rather play Head on one leg.

@MN5 Let's not get carried away.

Brooks has played 6 matches in Pakistan, 5 in NZ - against teams that were in the main off their game and the rest at home.

Yes he looks the goods, but it's very early days yet. In this latest series alone, he probably had as many chances as Loosebuschange has had against India

I’m judging on how he looks as much as the stats. He is awesome to watch and guys like him in form will keep test cricket well and truly alive.

You’re right, lots of others have had fantastic starts and petered out a bit. He’s possibly not quite there yet but the signs are there.

11 player of the series awards which is highest by an India. So influence on a match cannot be understated

Great player not the most liked person by other players.
    Still a great competitor .

History will also judge him as a home track bully too, still, it’s not enough to just play at home, you have to perform and he sure did that !

Indeed, most of us would love to be good enough to be home/flat track bullies at a decent level of cricket...

Will remember him the same way I remember Anil Kumble. Great bowler, great record, but never one you'd type into Youtube to watch his highlights. Grinding and dour.

    What ?!?!?!?

    That is a weird take.

Probably the most interesting finger spinner I've seen.

Or in my case literally in my backyard. One of my brothers would bat all day and then bowl me out within an over. The fluffybunny.

Dont think that is entirely true either, bowling average over 30 only in Aus, Eng and SA (and 1 match only in NZ) , but contributions with the bat have been impressive from a number 7 at times.
I would say his most famous was his 39* in Sydney over and above any of his 6 x 100s

Sure dominated at home, but has some great stats even if it is not one we generally think about
