I think the lead is already enough for Australia, but stranger things have happened than India winning this one.

100 runs per session is what I'm aiming at.

    So I need 300 minimum.

With the Sydney weather forecast, Australia have to win here.

Indian incompetence in the field is going to deny them a good result here.

    And another one

There's only been three successful 4th innings Test chases at the MCG above 290 and only one above 300.

Lyon up to 13 with a few leg byes. This is almost certainly too many for India now.

    Drop Marsh.

Never had to play that shot

    Go back to Big Bash

Not like you to have a go at him 😉

He came into this match with some pretty ordinary numbers which barring a huge haul when India bat will only get worse.

The charmed selection must end soon surely.

Boland making a mockery of the top order's handling of Bumrah with his front foot defence

Lead over 300. The last time a bigger score was chased down in the 4th innings at the MCG was 1928.

The other thing is time taken out of the game.

Aus have basically batted an extra session reducing the likelihood of a result in either direction

He’ll fluke a couple of wickets when India hit out and will get reselected for the next 10 matches having picked up “crucial wickets at crucial times”

At least our all rounder called Mitch came good just like I knew he would.

    Two hundred up

    Partnership is 27

Bumrah looked cooked fielding that sweep shot.

He's done abut 50 overs this game?

You can strike an India win off as an option now

That last over from Bumrah was a deeply tired man trying to do his best for the team.

The treatment of their only strike weapon points out two things:

As I've been saying, Rohit Sharma is a rubbish captain. Every problem is a nail when Bumrah is the hammer.

Virat Kohli is worse. I've been watching some of the chat behind the stumps and Kohli is at the centre of it, with Pant as his sidekick. Kohli is basically giving orders but not taking any of the responsibility at this point.

Last series you could admire his fight, but this series he's just proved what an utter shitc**t he is.

The political knives are going to be out if India lose this Test.

Rohit should never have been brought back, especially after the series defeat at home against NZ. Shubman Gill could have retained his place and done as good a job - probably better.

Bumrah should have stayed as skipper and the other bowlers should have fucking stood up.

Australia seeking to ensure they don't lose more than they win by batting to stumps on day four.
