    Violent Night (2022)
Blatant case of a coked up movie-exec coming up with "What if... Die Hard, but with Santa! Like... Real Santa. And... " And script-writers running with that, and merging Die-Hards 1&2 with some feel-good christmas shit I've never seen.
I was kinda hoping for a "new favourite xmas movie", with minimal actual hope in that happening.
Some silly fun. Not much more than that. Probably won't bother watching ever again... a rotation of Die Hard & Lethal Weapon pretty much fills my invented need for December 25th-ish movie watching material.
    Also - titwatch: zero.

Awesome film you have to watch more than once - if only just to get all the clever references to films like Alien, African Queen and The Matrix.

Nick Park is a certified genius.

I can safely say I would never get that reference. I think I'd have a lot of company too.

One of the canal boats was called Accrington Queen.

Then again, it may have named in honour of @MN5 's visit to Accrington a few years back.

@Victor-Meldrew still don't understand the first reference but I'm on board with the second one.

I must have missed that one due to not being born for another 26 years

45 Years was probably the last really good movie made in the UK.

Up there with Train Spotting IMHO. Deserves more exposure. Cracking film.

Yeah, that's definitely one for my top 10. I saw it at the cinemas in June (I think) and it was still showing in some cinemas in Nov so I think it's doing pretty well. I actually introduced some Irish work mates to it.

    1. Never trust anyone with a first name for a surname.

    2. Read?
