An hour to go would have left India a target well under 300 with a full day + 10 overs. Easy get

Baz regularly made me shit my pants! He usually got it right.

Snicko isn't perfect, looked like ball deflected. Shows perhaps that Snicko shouldn't be used??

It was used perfectly there. It's part of the process not the be all and end all. Doesn't mean you should get rid of it

Yep, whet I meant is when they use snicko to decide whether a batsman is out LBW. I not keen on all tech maybe, but it shows it still not perfect etc.

Now here is a trap that we've fallen into before: Thinking we could just use our paceman to get tail enders out.

Needs to be managed carefully, although Cricinfo says the ball is starting to swing reverse

@NTA Lyon back on. Good move.

Also need to make sure Starc and Cummins have gas in the tank when they get the new ball.

Sundar can probably handle Lyon. Need to get him at the bowlers

Not at all the way the new ball has been moving and Aus has some great exponents who could use it twice if necessary.

On top of that 290 only chased once I believe on same ground

Lastly Ind are series defenders, Aus need to win it

Pretty doubtful that Washington, Bumrah and Siraj are going to survive a dozen overs with the new ball.

Man - it is fuckwitted of Pant to be caught in the deep when they're playing for the draw.

Mark Waugh was highly critical of his first innings shot - he'll be scathing of this one. I agree with Mark.

Can't see the game due to fucking rain fade!

    Excellent test match

That was a tough ball to get for any batsmen let alone a number 11. It just did not bounce

Or even Kohli who arguably should have been banned anyway

    How does it play politically?

He's just overseen a home series whitewash, then done nothing out here except "chuck it to Bumrah" in terms of captaincy.

Sydney result probably a draw thanks to weather. Bumrah cooked.

    Fall on your sword

Indian selectors are usually like Stead-on-Steroids when it comes to conservatism.

Should happen - and they could give him a test farewell against some bunnies somewhere else - but, it won't.

Picking Rohit, the Jaiswal run-out and Pant's stupid shot probably the three things that lost India the match.

But, their other errors also meant they were substantially outplayed.
