    Excellent test match

That was a tough ball to get for any batsmen let alone a number 11. It just did not bounce

Do India have the guts to drop Sharma for Sydney needing a win?

Or even Kohli who arguably should have been banned anyway

    How does it play politically?

He's just overseen a home series whitewash, then done nothing out here except "chuck it to Bumrah" in terms of captaincy.

Sydney result probably a draw thanks to weather. Bumrah cooked.

    Fall on your sword

Indian selectors are usually like Stead-on-Steroids when it comes to conservatism.

Should happen - and they could give him a test farewell against some bunnies somewhere else - but, it won't.

Picking Rohit, the Jaiswal run-out and Pant's stupid shot probably the three things that lost India the match.

But, their other errors also meant they were substantially outplayed.

You don’t need to tell kiwis either about the importance of catching.

Who gets man of the match if Aus wins? Cummins?

    Gotta be Bumrah

    It definitely ISN'T Marsh

Bullshit call despite Cummins having a fine match.

It’s perfectly reasonable to give it to someone on the losing team.

Well done, Oz, never really in doubt once they were 33/3.

Not just the India drop catches but conversely the quality of Aus catching

Guys like Marsh and Smith with excellent catches and also well placed in terms of their field placings (i.e. Smith close enough at slip to not have the ball die in front of him).

Smith has pulled off more than his fair share of room of dicks great catches during his career. Great catcher in general

    Specialist catcher.

Every team needs one of those @NTA

Sharma and Crawley should form some sort of support group for openers who still get subjected to opening despite being shit

I did not see that level of abject surrender coming. But then again the Black Caps showed the world the soft underbelly of this Indian team.

Without Bumrah they'd get smashed by Afghanistan.

Dreadful catching really hurt India in this game.

A solid Australian performance was enough.

Listening to ABC Radio earlier today - at the end of our innings they noted that Bumrah walked straight off the ground without huddling up with his team. I think he's had enough of stupid fluffybunnies like Pant and Rohit

Kohli shoulder barges an Aussie and doesn’t even get a mention from you.

    Harsh

Snicko isn't perfect, looked like ball deflected. Shows perhaps that Snicko shouldn't be used??

It was used perfectly there. It's part of the process not the be all and end all. Doesn't mean you should get rid of it

You can see small spikes from the ambient noise throughout the replay, one of which could easily have been the ball on bat. Mind you, those small spikes could have come from anywhere... (yes, I've still got the shits about the Llong-Lyon debacle and the over reliance on snicko ... that was proof snicko is unreliable in and of itself.)

IIRC the Llong 3rd umpiring debacle decision was a hot spot one, not snicko.

Edit. Actually. I guess that means there was no snick, but was a Hotspot. So yes, actually you're point is correct.

Anyway. On the Jaiswal decision and no snicko spike. Pretty easily explained by it not being a 'snick'. It was a 'catch-up and help it on it's way' edge.
