    @Dan54

    100%. Disrespect for the referee is the main reason I don’t watch football any more. Once you allow that the sporting spectacle has gone.

    Oh that yellow card against was it Jennings? Absolute bullshit, braced himself for a player running directly into him, should've been a penalty the other way.

    I thought the same while watching the highlights..

    Nah. Dipped his shoulder into the attacker with a slight change of direction for me. Not the worst by any but these days you just can’t take that chance. Did he get yellow? On the highlights I saw I wasn’t sure.

    Well there was a yellow card immediately following it in the highlights, but yeah they were shit, disjointed highlights that just seemed to be random snippets of anything other than highlights.

    Yes and worryingly, 2 Welsh Derbies didn’t get anywhere near that total between them.

    I watched the Sharks-Toulouse game. As Stransky told us 1000x the conditions were difficult (30C, 80% RH) in Durban but it was the Sharks who made more handling errors. Toulouse didn't play that well but did win the territorial battle. Two tries to one in the end with the Sharks try the best of the three. The 1st half was like watching an NFL game with so many "injury" stoppages.

    Tomorrow is La Rochelle-Leinster.

    I still don't see why the SA teams are playing this European competition. None of them are up to the task. The Bulls were trounced (49-10) yesterday by an average Castres outfit, while the Lions suffered a 28-5 loss against Montpellier which was fielding an A' team. The Sharks were poor. They scored a beautiful try but were woeful during the other 79 minutes.

    There are too many fixtures, too many teams and too many poor teams in the European Champions Cup.

    Our work experience Georgian ref let Leinster get away with so much cynical play at the breakdown. How Kelleher wasn't penalised before he awarded Leinster a penalty (which turned out to be the difference) amazed me.

    La Rochelle did well to get back into the game with a number of key players missing and losing both starting props to injury.

    Are they just poor visitors or having the same success they had in SR? I'd have thought their game would translate better to the NH.
