This is a quality game of football

Bills running game could win it for them

NFL aren't doing much to dispel the appearance of KC getting big calls their way

Refs hatcheted the Bills in that game.

    Two well dodgy calls.

I think on balance its the best sport in the world at the moment.

    Especially from December to February.

Compelling viewing on a Saturday and Sunday night.

And to be fair, more often than not the refs and "TMO's" get it right.

Not like football and rugby which are a complete abomination in their current iterations.

    It struck me today

The quality of the KC coaching is so much better than any other team in the NFL it isn't close.

    Chiefs don't beat themselves.

These other teams come up small when it counts again and again

The Bills have a 250 pound QB and can't run a sneak to save their lives - why? Poor coaching

Spagnuolo runs the perfect blitz on 4th down - why? He's the best D coordinator in the league by a mile.

Bills O Coordinator's 2 point conversion plays were God awful - you would never see Andy Reid run plays like that.

This reminds me a lot of Crusaders under Razor and Mo'unga - they don't beat themselves - and the other team eventually will. Every. Single. Time.

Mahomes is amazing but I didn't think he did much today - the play calling by Reid was sensational - he had guys wide open and those play action boots work every time.

Sirani is not a great coach and is off to his 2nd Super Bowl in 3 years. Shanahan is a conservative choke artist but has a good playoff record. Why? The quality of coaching outside of KC is weak.

And do any of these idiot owners searching for a coach hire Spagnuolo? No.

Chiefs have been like this all year tbh. Mahomes has quietly been a bit average but their defence and special teams has pulled them through.

Spags has had a crack at HC and wasn't impressive. Being a great DC (or OC) doesn't mean much in terms of HC success - although successful coordinators often get a second chance so it's a bit surprising he hasn't had a second go. Some coaches do really benefit from having had time to reflect on what went wrong.

This could come back to bite me, but it does thus far feel like the three best teams this year were KC, Buffalo and Baltimore...

I've thought about it more and my opinion was wrong. A bit prisoner of the moment after KC/Buffalo.

Philly have been incredibly good in all facets. Just so competent throughout. Maybe lacking offensive brilliance at times (but then, Saquon...), and that might be what holds them back from beating KC, but they are very deserving of their spot in the SB.

For my money, Chiefs, Ravens, Bills, Eagles and Lions are the five best teams in the league, and pretty much any ordering of those five would be justifiable. Then a clear gap to the sixth team (another grouping of Vikings, Steelers, Texans, Commanders).

Not sure how I'm going to last the distance.
Hungover as fuck. Sitting in a craft brewery. Not ideal conditions for a productive Monday tomorrow.
Still, precedent has been set... had one guy here already refused service, beer taken off him, ejected, for being smashed. Before 4pm, before 1st quarter.
