Na, you go down that road then the 25 will all be affiliated with Rugby somehow.

Huge influence on Wales
Helped Argentinian rugby too

Setting aside my bias based on name alone, I genuinely think it's crazy to overlook Nepia who was the first huge NZ and worldwide rugby superstar.
He was a world wide super star in rugby, lomu was the first star that was famous beyond rugby, I reckon
Yeah, although, I think Nepia was probably famous beyond rugby for his era, especially in the NH countries, if the history books are anything to go by, but Lomu would have been known throughout a much larger "world".
But on a list of greatest Kiwis, being the first proper superstar AB should be enough to get you on the list I reckon.
No disrespect but Nepia wasn’t talked about in my circles growing up
Or my Dad’s (born in 1935)

Was gonna throw in a cheeky nomination for Phil Rudd but he was actually born in Australia.
Shame, AC/DC are way better than Crowded House
This….is a joke right?
Interesting, I thought someone from your neck of the woods would agree ?

Inventor of the tranquilliser gun, the disposable syringe and the child-proof medicine container.
The greatest ancient historian of the 20th century. His "Roman Revolution" is still used in universities around the world nearly 100 years after publication.
The greatest political caricaturist and cartoonist of the western world who satirised the Nazis, Stalin and Mussolini. His work, such as "very well, alone", is iconic.
Sometimes it's the people who aren't that well known who have had some of the deepest impacts.
