I'll totally rewatch before S2 completes for a watch of that. Fingers crossed they don't stray fromt he forumla into shitty CGI action everywhere
I was pretty critical of it when I first saw it but MUCH better on second viewing ( five episodes in )
It does take awhile to get going though, too much filler in the first episode and a half before shit gets real.
Second season looks much more action packed and again, it was that trailer that got my boys keen finally.

i get the feeling theyre making a true prequeal, rather than spin off.....start really slow....and keep building so you can actually watch rogue one and be destroyed by the end

This show has made the Empire scary again.
Looking forward to the scene where Andor goes to Space Miami and one trooper and one droid lock him up ( ironically not for the crimes he was wanted for )
I'm assuming this season is where he'll meet his mate K2SO too.
Some nice nerd theories here
It certainly does look like Dedra Meero is getting force choked I must say.
-
Isn't AI incredible ?
Kinda scary in one sense too, the image and movement of a younger Christopher Lee isn't quite there 100% but the voice is flawless ( and what a distinctive and awesome voice it is )
It won't be long until they make a movie or standalone show about Dooku, his character deserves it.
-
@MN5 id watch it (although my ongoing preference is to leave this period in time alone)...and you know disney would have access to better tech than youre average dude on the internet, and the epidoes of "tales of the jedi/sith" with a young dooku were good

Oh I would too, his character was never "quite" 100% sith ( didn't have the red eyes etc ) and seemed a bit of a hustler out for himself and helped hugely by Lee being his usual amazing self. He wasn't in the movies enough.
Seeing him and Qui Gonn in their younger days could be good fun.

@MN5 definitely, much like Qui Gon is generally accepted to be a grey jedi, almost using the jedi rather than having drunk the cool aide
did you watch tales of the jedi?
No, I'll keep an eye out for it. Need to finish off the second viewing of Andor first !

How did we ever manage?

@canefan i feel in the past shows had fewer series arcs, was more week to week, often you could miss a week and wouldnt change much, not so much anymore
People just lack patience these days. I remember hanging every weekend for radio serials on 2ZB kids morning, they would go for ages until finished
-
@canefan both can be true
I also think we're more distracted and plots are more complicated as we've put down series for a couple of weeks (away or what every) and you come back and look at each other and ask "what happened again"

Further to the Death Star point I made above.
It is FUCKEN enormous and absolutely pushing the plausibility rating beyond criticial.
But yeah, watching Andor and the intricacies of every little part you can see how the Empire had a ( massive ) group of scientists, engineers etc to make it happen.
But in the Sequel trilogy that is not enough, they have to go completely over the top and have a laser built into a whole fucken planet which pushes the ridiculousness to new heights.
......and that doesn't even bring into account Palpatines secret squad of Star Destroyers each with their own superlasers. Beyond stupid.
How did he do this despite dying in Return of the Jedi ?
Somehow.
