It's games like these that gets guys selected for the All Blacks. You look at the Hurricanes, and obviously guys can have quiet games, but Numia, Kirifi and Love have been comfortably outplayed by their opposites - who are all established ABs. Lio-Willie is not everyone's cup of tea, but he consistenly stands out in these games, and I think is well on course for the ABs.

So many side entries by Crusader players into the rucks being missed by the ref… I have no idea how he isn’t seeing those

Impressed with Fihaki despite the last kick hes got some skill ,footwork and pace
Based on this years form i could understand an ABs call up
        Last year not so much
Scooter outstanding in the first 40
A few reputations in the Canes going south

In place of who? I’m sure it’s between Tangitau and Fihaki(rightly or wrongly). I know who the majority would rather

Lio-Willie is probably the most under appreciated loosies in the country. Rarely if ever has a bad game, consistently plays well, rarely makes mistakes

Canes lacking a little leadership out there in defence. Struggling with quick realignment in the line. Too reactive.

Saders support play pretty good and putting the ball through the hands. Some loose out the back play because they haven’t adjusted to the wind/conditons.

Reasonable happy with the pack especially in defence.

Don't think CLW will ever play for the ABs - too small. Was on the EOYT last year and there were plenty of opportunities to give him some minutes but Razor decided not to.

We need to get Hohepa off he’s just too bloody slow when we look to attack. He’s got a good kicking game but that’s not enough unfortunately. There’s a reason the Crusaders got rid of him and we were dumb enough to pick him up.

Harkin won't solve this. Hohepa was about the only one showing any sort of calmness... you could go full hail merry and throw Love to 10, but if the pack plays that poorly again, he'll be a lamb to the slaughter.

                          Love

Love went quiet mid way through last year's Super as well

Now he did pick up an injury towards the end of the year last year but the big regular season game last year was Blues Canes at Eden Park and Love was quiet that day and never regained his earlier form.

Kirifi has been ok - going as well as Blackadder is

Moananu impressed years ago on debut for Crusaders - other Super teams paying the price for not signing him when he was available

                          Enjoyable game good intensity

@Landers92 the majoirty does’nt select the AB team lets be clear on this Fihaki is not my choice in fact like most i was totally confused by his elevation to the Black jersey but to be fair he is showing whats hes capable of
Tangitau has been impressive but to be brutally honest you want to see how he handles pin point high kicks kicking game etc ..

He's been fine, and he's behind a well beaten pack. Both him and love have done some good clean ups of utter shit

CLW is a good couple of inches taller than Kirifi, and is bigger. As an observation, Kirifi needs to standout in games like these, and he hasn't... issue for him, is he'll run out of time, because this is the Canes second last major derby unless they make the playoffs. I would pick Kirifi for the ABs at current, but on the basis of that first half, he could hardly complain if he missed out.

Yeah he’s playing no where near as well as he did last year. Not running the ball at all. He’s needs to attack around the fringes which will open up space on the outside and just back himself. Maybe he’s got that injury at the back of his mind and isn’t playing as freely as he might have used to.

The Crusaders defence has been very good though. If they score right after the half it’s game over.

Don't think CLW will ever play for the ABs - too small. Was on the EOYT last year and there were plenty of opportunities to give him some minutes but Razor decided not to.

Put Ardies haircut on CLW and he’ll be big enough

Tangitau has been impressive but to be brutally honest you want to see how he handles pin point high kicks kicking game etc ..

Oh no don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying we do. Just stating who the majority would prefer, unfortunately he’s in the wrong colours.

@frugby really well put so much talk about Naholo but for all intensive purposes he’s being outplayed by Fihaki big time

No one is talking up Naholo for an All Black jersey.

I thought Roigard was average last week, and he hasn't done much in this game either.

It was such a major injury, I was concerned it would play on his mind a bit and lose some explosiveness. I hope that isn’t the case. An injury like that can take a good year for a player to get back to themselves though so I think he will be ok. Something to keep an eye on though
