Justin Rose hits 71 and is the club house leader on 8 under at the half way stage.

        De Chambeau -7
        Im -6
        McIlroy -5
        Scheffler -5.
        Hovland -5

All eyeing the lead. A young Dane I have never heard of before is on a charge too.

Shane Lowry now -5. Lots of the big dogs of the golfing world have come to play.

Some pretty good scoring so far. Rose leading at -6 thru 12.

At the other end of the field, poor Nick Dunlap (2024 rookie of the year), has s shot a 90!

How does a top player do that? Even Langer in his final ever Masters managed a 74!

Dunlap with not a single birdie - a triple bogey, 4 double bogeys and 7 regular bogeys - just 6 pars. My golfing insight helps me predict that he won't make the weekend

@KiwiPie then rocks up today and shoots 71...that takes some resilience.

McIlroy races to the top of the leader board in the first three holes of round 3.

Shane Lowry has gone birdie-birdie to go 7 under and two off the lead. A great half hour for the Irish.

                        Amazing to watch!

And Bryson getting better coverage today. Feels like we’ve seen more shots already than last two rounds combined

Statement round by McIlroy. Great mental strength to put the finish of yesterday behind him.

DeChambeau's birdie put on 18th has him only two behind for the final round.

@antipodean some seemed to find scoring easy while others battled, shame Rose fell away!

Have to think the winner will be one of Rory or Bryson, although a few in contention still if they go low tomorrow.

It's going to be an interesting final round that's for sure. Would like to see Rory get the win so he can complete the career grand slam but I wouldn't be counting out the likes of Scheffler, Aberg, DeChambeau either.

I love this story from eleven years ago of Rory McIlroy being starstruck after meeting DC at a gym.

Double bogey for Rory McIlroy at the first hole. There goes his overnight lead.

The choke is on! Repeat, the choke is on!

McIlroy in the bunker in the second. An absolute horror start to the most important round of the Irishman's life.

DeChambeau calmly moves into the lead.

Can Rory McIlroy reset or has his head already gone?
