Massive game for Aston Villa tonight in the UCL QF second leg against PSG. Can they overhaul a two-goal deficit against the superb French champions?

If we didn't concede the late goal then yeah, I'd think maybe we could, but 2 goals against this PSG side is too much.

Odd-looking starting XI. Not one that has played before I think. In Unai we trust!

Yeah he's stacked the centre of the park with both Onana and Tielemans both there. Still don't like Rashford as a striker as he does his best work on the left.

That's a 4-3-3 side picked, with McGinn down the right, Rogers wide left, Rashford through the middle, with Kamara protecting the back 4 and Tielemans and Onana anchoring the centre of the park.

2-1 PSG at half time. Villa caught twice on the counter by brilliant PSG wing play and then excellent finishes by full backs following up.

Hustling PSG in the middle of the park, causing their headaches at set piece and creating a lot of chances. Just taking too long in the wet before getting the shot away. Proud of the lads.

What a goal by John McGinn. 2-2 on the night. 3-5 on the tie.

Finished 3-2. One of the great Aston Villa performances against a superb team. Proud of the boys.

Donnarumma kept PSG in that. A great performance by the Italian keeper.

How awesome was that! Even though we're out, man PSG should be thanking Gigi Donnarumma for that. Not the first time he's broken English teams hearts.

We were so close! Loved it though, was a great way to go out. Another day and we do go through.

Sounds like stirring stuff from the Villa - losing quarter-finalists in that fashion is no disgrace.

Eight years ago tonight AVFC lost 3-1 at home to Reading. Today we beat the best team in Europe to complete an unbeaten UEFA Champions League season at home. So proud of this team and how far they've come in recent years.

Hopefully, there are more nights like tonight and some silverware ahead.

There will be. We may still win the FA Cup, and are a huge chance of qualifying again for the champions league. Tough fixtures ahead in the league with Newcastle and Man City back to back.

I didn't realise that PSG were managed by Luis Enrique. If Villa had pulled it off, that would have been a kind of revenge for Emery - he managed PSG when they lost that crazy tie against Luis Enrique's Barcelona, where Barcelona won despite being 3 goals behind after 88 minutes.
