RT, does it have any hiphop producers in the documentary? They have a bit of following in that scene, especially in the bay area.

Saw 'My Name is Khan', about some Indian bloke with Autism in the states trying to get to the president to tell him that he is 'not a terrorist'<br />
Biggest piece of crap film I have seen in years, good for about 30 mins before it got so bad myself and my flatmates were in hysterics laughing at the absurd plot twists, grand canyon sized plot holes, racist stereotypical casting and acting. I firmly believe this was written by an local lad living in India who not only has never left his country but probably also his small village and his entire knowledge of the outside world is based on rented movies and maybe a dodgy cable news channel.<br />
An easy 0/10 and the only reason I'm rating it not in the negatives is because once you've realised and accepted you've just wasted a couple of hours of your life watching this steaming dog-turd you will actually laugh out loud at how crap it is.<br />
<br />
What I don't understand, and this is what really bugs the crap out of me is that reviews are actually pretty good for the film and its also the highest grossing Bollywood film overseas. Could reviewers actually be bought to give this good reviews or am I really missing something here

Death Wish 3. Oh what wonderful trash. Recommended if you like violent 80's crap.<br />
<br />
I would love to see Paul Kersey pop up (orthopedic shoes included) in a few modern movies with his .475 Wildey Magnum and slaughter half the cast. Michael Cera especially.

No. The director of the film had only three prior productions, and the titles of them:<br />
<br />
<br />
[]Iron Maiden: Flight 666 (2009)<br />
[
]Global Metal (2008)<br />

Metal: A Headbanger's Journey (2005)<br />
- pretty much tell us the guy is coming to the project from the perspective of a metalhead.<br />
<br />
I would have liked to have seen a few more minutes about the devoted fanbase too, they really are the Trekkies (Revenge of the Nerds?) of rock & roll.

Gotcha. On the trekkie angle: Like star trek they are also very popular among self-described libertarian types (as is prog in general), ranging from "legalise it" anti-war hippie types to paleo-con-in-disguise disgruntled cold warrior types.

I expected this to be utter, utter shit and it was quite good. I loved the ending, and that's where movies like this usually screw the pooch

Cool, will have to check it out. Bit of a fan of John C. Reilly but don't normally like Farrell in larger than cameo roles (Ashley Shafer was awesome).

I watched 'Troy' last week, and I want those three hours of my life back. "Troy, an epic bore" would be my poster slogan...

Only worth watching the Directors Cut, where the delicious Diane Kruger gets her tits out.

Why in God's name didnt that make the original cut???? It could have made some of my ticket money worthwhile. Brad Pitt was awful in that film. Looked the part for sure but certainly showed his limitations as an actor.

The slo-mo-ish slam-dunk where he plants his dagger into Australian wrestling flameout Nathan Jones was kinda cool.<br />

Yep, Directors Cut ups the T&A content, good move. I have to admit i don't mind the movie for some light-hearted entertainment, but some of the acting is terrible. Liked the Hector v Achilles fight, thought it was well put together. <br />
<br />
Tim i am sure you have seen this one a bunch of times, i watched "Tango and Cash" in all its 80s awesome-ness last night. Got it all, muscles, mullets, badly-acted foriegn-type bad guy, ridiculous weapons (see Cash's hand-gun with the big fuck off laser sight thing on the top) and ripping dialogue<br />
"when this is all over we should pay Jabba the Hutt here a visit"<br />
"I'll bring the chainsaw"<br />
"I'll bring the beer"<br />
<br />
Epic.

Think it could just be time for another viewing.

Watched Salt (Bourne Identity with a chick instead of F.A.G. member Matt Damon) and Prince of Persia (Pirates of the Caribbean with "Persians" who had English accents instead of pirates) this weekend. Both pretty meh. Mindless entertainment. But too formulaic/predictable for Salt, and not enough killing/blood/splatter Gladiator style for POP (it is a Disney movie after all). Watch to relieve boredom, but don't expect too much.

It's from Team America - FAG is the film actors guild (the real union is the screen actors guild)
