Going to ask a dumb question. Are there two divisions in Harbour? Just seem to recall there used to be other clubs like East Coast Bays and wasn't there Marist club?

Bays had a bye last week and a few clubs have fallen away over the years and sadly don't field premier sides any more (well at the moment anyway). So that's Marist and Glenfield. I think those two clubs even combine a few teams at the junior level too - Marifield. Oh and Navy havent been around for years.

@JK IIRC, Marist's player numbers really dropped off during COVID. I think they merged with Massey Unversity's Albany campus teams?

Also, a lot of their senior A players went to Silverdale.

I went to watch the HOB-Marist game. This game had plenty of lead changes, and Marist looked to have won at the end with a penalty near the posts with minutes remaining, but missed. Then they went from inside their 22 and capitalised on a HOB knock-on to eventually score under the posts after a series of pick and goes. Game over.

In Counties club rugby, Papakura will not continue in Division 1 and 2 this year. I don't know if they will end up with one team continuing in Division 2 or go down to Division 3.

There will be semi finals on during the 19th of July for the Premier grades. Other grades will have round robin games at that time also. Closer to the time one of us Waikato locals can let you know what your options are.
