A family friend of ours had Parkinsons, horrible disease, he was an ex firefighter so went from a big strong fit guy to, well, someone with Parkinsons......

Towards the end of his life I visited him and he said it was better to have Parkinsons than Alzheimers as it's better to spill half your beer than forget where you put it.

The fact I heard this from someone who was riddled with that awful disease makes this absolutely hilarious and poignant. Speaks volumes about the character of a great fella.
