I watched the first episode of "Spartacus - Blood & Sand" on Wednesday. It fucking sucked. The fights were shit. I was promised tit, there was no tit. The "acting" was non-existent. The visuals looked sooo shit. Real crap TV. Didn't finish the episode. Won't watch another.

Haha, me too!! Someone told me to watch it, so I did....was told it gets better, I said well when you start at the bottom, upwards is easy!

It was confused about whether it wanted to be Gladiator or The 300 (similar visuals) while sucking worse than either...

Crap program but there was plenty of 'tit'. Quite tidy too. In fact there was full-frontal, full on acitivity and humping as well as the odd hand shandy thrown in, so I'm not sure what you were watching.

the first episode started similar to The 300, where they go off to war (which they dont end up in)

one has a dust up with old Guy Warner off Shorty Street before they get made to fight as gladiators.

IIRC there was some nudity in it too, but seemed so out of context for the program (given they walk around in a loin cloth and some body armour only while snowing) and then they lie on a animal skin in the open and have some rampant sex scene, again while snowing flutters about! Not to mention the beatings taken as well.

Was so bad, I thought it might be good, but nup!

Hey dude, the show is based on some comics ("graphic novels") that are supposed to be really good, and the producer/director of much of it is the guy who did The Shawshank Redemption.

Supposed to be the big new show this year (aside from Scorcese's prohibition era show).

It gets better the deeper you get into the series as the characters develop (some) "character". Also they dial back the cartoony 300 blood and graphic novel look the further in you get. The tits and ass aspect is pretty strong throughout. I was really digging the show for the last 5 to 6 episodes, especially John Hannah and Lucy Lawless' scheming and general nefariousness.
