NRL 2025

Mamo's injury was worse than expected so Souths needed a Hooker urgently and if Wayne can get Cheese's head in the game then a good buy for them.
Dom Young is a defensive nightmare but if you were buying him, you would be buying him for attack not defence. Looks like he may end up back at Newcastle
As for Davey, surely any decent coach thinks they could be the one to get him to pull his head in? From memory he is a bit of a package deal with his girl friend, but potential for someone. Not sure if the Warriors though, not sure if he would leave Australia? Maybe Erin could put in a good word?
Who knows where he will end up, previous deals mooted with Roosters, then Raiders deal fell through, linked with Broncos a couple of times..
-
i very much doubt Davey is swapping the GC for South Auckland, but we would be derelict in our duties if we didn't at least make a play.
I reckon the Eels will have a real go.
-
Im not sure, Ryles wants workers. But any good coach should make a play
-
I reckon either the Broncos or a Sydney team will sign Fifita.
Young probably back to the Knights and Cheese to Souffs.

Cheese souffle?
-
Souths should make a play for Young too, with the lack of wingers they have.
-
@mariner4life Warriors shouldn't touch Fifita. Would be like signing another Walsh...all attitude and fuck all effort
-
Isaiya Katoa is one classy halfback watching the Dolphins last night.
Already think he's the best ball playing half in the NRL.

Katoa straightens attack better than most already. Similar to Cooper Cronk and Souths version of Adam Reynolds.
Jesus just watched that Souths Brisbane game. 1, how on earth did Souths win that, 2, despite the injury, Ben Hunt stunts Brisbane's attack and Madge needs to put him at 9, and 3, where did that Latrell field goal come from! And a nice cheeky try to end it too.
-
Three very ordinary games of footy to start the weekend were only saved my latrell Mitchell. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, there is no more entertaining guy in the league to watch than latrell. He'll do stupid, ridiculous things, and then all of a sudden he'll hit the best field goal you will ever see. And then he'll top it off with the cheekiest/biggest dog act try you'll ever see.
Brisbane's attack is shit because T-Baz is a shit coach, and neither of their halves are a running threat. Throw in too many touches for carrigan at bad times (the new Paul gallen in that respect) and they offered fuck all last night. Frauds going nowhere.
The Hunt injury will prove the perfect excuse for Mam to play next week. Be interesting to see how he handles a very hostile crowd.

I keep hearing how great Katoa is, and then I watch the Dolphins attack and its awful. They are completely reliant on their centres breaking tackles, or Hammer in broken play.
How you have a guy that fucking fast at fullback, two dangerous centres and two try scoring wingers, and apparently the best ball playing half in the comp, and attack like the 2024 warriors I'll never know.
Katoa was shown up by Moses on Thursday.

Parra should have won that game, but I'm liking the direction they're heading in with this clean out. I assume Galvin will go there and with Iongi at the back, some good outside backs with Addo Carr, Lomax and Simonsen/Penisini, Kautoga, and a few other additions to their pack to go with Hopgood, and I think they'll be competitive again in the not too distant future.
A couple of other clubs should look to rebuild like the Eels and Tigers are doing.
-
@mariner4life Hunt should have been playing at hooker anyway.
What is clear is that no team is unbeatable this year.
Trell on form is in a different league, dont know what was more awesome, the casual 50m field goal or the subsequent ice cold turn and walk back to his side. Love him or hate him, sport needs these characters
Ponga may have played himself out of a QLD jersey
Kotoa is a very good half back, but don't think best yet. I dont know who was calling the shots in the second half because Donahue's one out and only go right bullshit when Herbie destroying on the other side was madness. I agree I would assume the half has to have a say in that. Herbie possibly best centre in NRL right now
When was the last time in consecutive games a team was up 20-0 and 14-0 respectively and both lost? Don't know but Im sure the Warriors feature in there somewhere..
And just on the warriors, 2 wins in 10 years in the Gong.. dont get too excited.
Looking forward to the Raiders v Bulldogs, but not for any attack because also likely to be a bit of a bludger, but both teams pride themselves on big guys smashing the opposition. Im expecting a lot of "thats on report"
-
The 14-0 curse is very very real
-
Knights are shithouse losing to a another shithouse side in the Titans.
Broncos are the most overrated side going around.
-
@bayimports doggies attack looked pretty sweet running in 32 2nd half points
Qld are so fucked for origin
-
Seriously Wahs with early lead this should mean guaranteed loss this week
-
Ooh 14-0 magic curse number activated
