It has become easier to win the Europa and Conference leagues if you qualify for them without the bumping down of failed UCL and Europa teams. Bodo-Glimt v Spurs second leg will be fascinating given the home record of the Norwegian team and Spurs being somewhat flaky.

      The game was mega.

Yamine Lamal is out of this world.

      Shearer summed it up best:

We expected a good game, but this? Thank you Inter Milan, thank you Barcelona for providing us with incredible entertainment and two great football matches.
"What we have witnessed has been something very special. It's been a pleasure to be here."

Yup i think people are sleeping on this 2nd leg. It's so bloody cold up in Bodo that it makes it tough for any traveling side up there. Like playing the Drua in Fiji in Super Rugby, but with completely opposite climates.

I think playing them in May shouldn't be too bad - better than February anyway. Bodo have lost all of the away games in their Europa League run - and won all of their home games. Interesting.

PSG v Inter final - should be a good one. Didn't see this morning's game, reports were that Arsenal channeled 1980s Wimbledon in their approach to get it in the mixer - that's one way to avoid the press.

Yeah should get to a high of about 5 for the Bodo Spurs game, warm up there haha.

The thing with PSG is that their last 3 ties have been against English opposition. Italian sides set up completely different, they'll find things harder in the middle of the park and Inzaghi sets up with a traditional 3-5-2 formation, where the front 2 don't tend to press, it tends to come from guys like Barella and Mhyikatarian/Calhangnolou. They'll happily play 2nd and aim to frustrate PSG for as long as they can, whilst still being a threat up front with Martinez and Thuram with Dumfries and DiMarco playing high.

I may be wrong, but the more I think about it, the more I've convinced myself that Inter win it.

Yeah, looked like a repeat of the first fixture when Evanilson scores right at the end with a near post header from a free kick, but Jebbison needed to throw himself at the ball after Emi saved the initial header, instead, he allowed Cash to come in and clear.

Huge result for Villa, keeping our champions league hopes alive, and a bit of a disaster day for Bournemouth, with their European hopes in jeopardy after Brighton and Brentford also won.

Villa have qualified for Europe for three seasons in a row which is a massive achievement given where the team were when Unai Emery took over (one point off the relegation zone) and before that when Dean Smith took over (middle of the Championship and facing problems with the tax man).

Tottenham at home just before the UEFA Cup final and ManUtd away just after the UEFA Cup final looks like a bit of a dream run-in. So it's whether the team can perform in those last two games and how the other clubs do (including Man City and Crystal Palace in the FA Cup Final) that determine which European Competition AVFC play in next year.

I remember reading that he scored against Wrexham in non-league play years ago. Not long after he began his climb to the top

This is an amazing achievement by Chris Wood. Only 52 players have scored 20 or more goals in a season. There are some well-known players who aren't on the list.

Given English international and top rated striker Danny Welbeck has just achieved 10 EPL goals for the season for the FIRST time, 20 is extraordinary for Wood - especially for one of the lesser clubs in the league. Might be a target for Wrexham next season if Forest decide they want a change of strategy .....

Meanwhile Sheff U v Sunderland in the playoff final after Sheff U trounced Bristol C and Sunderland squeaked past Coventry with a goal right at the end of 120 minutes. Probably Sheff U to go up - doesn't really matter, either one will be relegated next season.

Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid, big loss but great profit, likely future Spanish captain IMO

Massive result on so many levels. Palace go straight to the Europa league, whilst Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth's dreams of qualifying for European football are over.

Finishing 7th now becomes a danger position as it'll now mean that whoever finishes there drops down to the Conference league.

Great result for the Eagles and much deserved. They worked tirelessly and Manchester City are a shadow of the ruthless team they were two years ago. There will be lots of hoarse voices and sore heads around South London and Croydon this morning.
