NBA Season - now 24/25

Celtics dropping game 1 at home is really nothing new. Ho hum, I thought, especially when they missed a thousand shots.
But dropping that game... wow. A choke job of the highest order. This was going to be Tatum's year but he's just gone cold at the worst possible time.
They are still $1.90 to win the series (Knicks $1.86) and I think that's probably good value. If they take game 3 I still think they have enough to win the series, but that's a bigger and bigger IF as every day passes.

Well it looks like the Mavs got their compensation from the NBA for giving Luka up by getting the number 1 pick.
Nothing dodgy about it lol.......
-
looooool
the whole "NBA is a rigged game show" calls that were already tediously loud are going to be thunderous now
-
And of course San Antonio and Philadephia get 2 and 3 hahaha, whilst Charlotte, Washington and Utah are left in the cold lol.
-
oh, social media tells me the Davis trade to the Lakers resulted in the Pels getting Zion.
maybe it's not a conspiracy theory after all
-
hahahahaha the Spurs got #2
Giannis is going to look so good in our uniform
-
the four worst teams ended up with 4, 5, 6, and 7

Mavs had a 1.8% chance of getting the first pick.
NBA aren't even subtle about it
Yep, well done Nico.

IMHO Dallas ownership don't deserve that kind of luck. It's not like they got scammed, they ran they superstar out of town and badmouthed him as he left. They should be cursed
It was rigged lol let's not play dumb here.

Maybe in the old days. Not so sure now. There's too much at stake, don't they get one of the major auditing firms to oversee the lottery? A quick Google check says Ernst and Young oversee it
-
Enron had a major auditing firm as well. What ever happened to them?

Don't worry, that fluffybunny in charge will likely fuck it up anyway

he's currently trading the first pick to Boston for what's left of Tatum's achilles and a bowl of clam chowder

If they want to be transparent they would show the actual draft lottery - not just release the results
2008: Derrick Rose going to his home town Chicago when the Bulls had a 1.7% chance
2011: The Cavaliers getting the #1 pick after LeBron James left the summer prior
2012: The Pelicans getting the #1 pick after Chris Paul leaves
2019: The Pelicans getting the #1 pick after Anthony Davis demands a trade
2025: The Dallas Mavericks getting the #1 pick after trading Luka Doncic at the trade deadline with a 1.8% chance
It's rigged as all hell

I would be all for televising the lottery. Just like a lotto show, it would make great telly as the respective teams find out their fate in real time
