Capewell may end up having to be in the Qld squad purely for experience due to form and injuries this year. I assume Ponga has to play fullback just to allow Hammer to play centre. Will be interesting selections incoming. I am going to assume Lindsay Collins (who only comes back this week) and Horse will be the starting front row. Nanai, Cotter pick themselves, Gilbert better as a middle but poor as an edge.. Not sure if Plath will be fit to back up Grant. A few old timers could be rolled outAnd yet Queensland always find a way to be competitive. It would be typical of them to go on and win the series

Just seen the game.
Pretty tidy performance, except for the last 8 minutes.
God damn we need to learn how to shut the door on teams. There’s no way the Dolphins should have got that close in the end.
Discipline was very poor today, gave away a lot of penalties and set re-starts including 2 or 3 on the last tackle when there was just no need.

Gee we had some opportune in that first 20 without getting any reward.
It finally clicked and we looked like world beaters on the second 20.
What I didn’t like on that final quarter was that we went into our shell a bit. The second phase play disappeared. There was great kick chase and we didn’t put pressure on at the tackle to slow down their quick play of the ball.
Good to win though and keep the comp on notice that we can keep winning the close ones. For our AFL fans we are winning like the Pies did in season 2023.
