Listening to Beaver and Kirstie’s podcast tonight and Beaver named his all time Canes XV, most of which I agree with aside from a couple positions.

His all time Canes team is

See I would have gone Eaton and Thrush personally.

My dark horse lock is Michael Fatialofa. He was the perfect lock for the Canes but didn’t stay for long and then suffered that career ending injury playing overseas.

@mikey07 Yeah i kept half an eye on the Ulster team sheets throughout the year to see how he went. He seemed to get a few starts early on by faded away to the bench or not selected as the season progressed. Think Ulster struggles in general. Always though he was a tidy NPC player, but just not quite there with any traits required at next level, same sort of ceiling as a Mitch Hunt.

Surely no space at canes. I'd say Pro D2, Japan or lets say Western Force

There’s also a certain team in the South Island that could do with another 10.

Guess it comes down if he wants to chase the money at a young age, don’t blame him if he does.

No thanks, we've got Cameron, Godfrey, Love and Harkin that can play ten to a better standard IMO.

Nah not when he only played 16 games for us. Maybe the Highlanders all time team as he played 48 games for you guys.

He could be a nice pick up for the Landers. My issue with Morgan was he never had a big boot, his running game was sound but he never got any distance on his kicks which is important in today's game.

Yep, had a decent running game, but wasn't at all what you would call someone that could run a game. And was rather small.
I see no need for him to come back. Maybe could start training as a 9?

you can easily get away with a 10 that doesn't have a big boot, as long as you have a 9 who can kick, and a fullback or 12 with a big boot for line clearances and penalties. We are collectively just too dumb and set in our ways to do that effectively.

Argh ffs. We just better hope we get no more injuries. That's a massive blow IMO. He made the impact I was expecting, just has touches of class that we will certainly miss in the playoffs if we get there.

Kini and Iose now also gone for the season. We've had some horrible luck, just can't buy a trick. Always seems to be our form players as well.
