I watched "Taken" for about the 4th or 5th time last night (its one of those movies that whenever it is on, i feel compelled to watch it). Liam Neeson is a fucking bad ass. So violent, it's great fun, in a dark, desperate vengeance sort of way.
Great movie . One of those kick arse films i don't mind watching again and again .
Piranha (3D). Boobs, asses, more boobs and some of the goriest carnage I have seen in the movies in a long time. Better than I had any right to expect. 8/10
I foolishly neglected to mention this, which I caught this morning at Deadspin:

With Piranha 3D already in line to get a sequel, it's time to admit that penis-severing is the special effect of the year. But the now-infamous piranha cock-chomp wasn't the first. Let's contemplate its forerunners, shall we?

I said this was NSFW, but it's a lot more that that. You will probably go insane if you watch all of these videos. You might need to take tomorrow off to recover. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Piranha 3D

Those of you lucky enough to see this movie already know that its penis-chomping scene is one of the best. When a coke-snorting pornographer falls in the piranha-infested Lake Victoria, his favorite body part becomes fish food. In fact, two piranha fight over it - so we get the full 3D chomper effect, especially when one of the fish burps out the remains right into your face.
You can watch penis-decapitating scenes from that entire list here:
I watched a movie call "After life" a couple of nights ago. Interesting film with Christina Ricci and Liam Neeson in it. Good plot, decent acting and Ricci spends about half the film (seriously about half of it) wandering around topless. Definitely worth a watch

Caught Piranha last night, just what you would expect.
Heaps of gore, lots of tit and ass and a very thin bare plot.

Loved it.

And the penis scene....yup......up there with the best!...or is that the worse!
7.5/10

Finally got to see the A-Team, and was really pleased with it. Had the tone right, not taking itself to seriously and the casting was spot on perfect. I'm now a Bradley Cooper fan, that guy has to play Starbuck now too <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Full of silly moments, but delivered on what sort of film it was. Good fun.

yup my thoughts too, very silly and over the top at times but then again so was the original show.
I thought the casting was solid bar B.A, 'Rampage' wasnt shit, just lacked the charisma of Mr T.
Just saw The Expendables. It's awesome in its b-grade awesome-ness!!! Muscles, terrible dialogue, big guns, lots of dead South American soldiers, non-shot good guys. All the ingredients are there, it doesn't pretend to be anything other than a homage to the movies that made them all famous. It's fucking cool and i loved it.
Watched it tonight. Agree with Mariner 100%. It's like being sent back to 1985. You see deuce and a halfs full of South American soldiers and henchmen, and can't wait to see how they will all die. And die they do. In numbers. This movie is so full of awesomeness. And to top it off, Commando was on later in the evening, so I had to watch that as well.
Watched Centurion:
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/centurion/

Quite good, although there were plenty of holes in the story, and it was too gory. Olgy Kurelyenko was awesome, tough as nails. The Scottish countryside was stunningly filmed.

Also saw The LadyKillers, by the Cohen Brothers. Clever and a nice finish. Hanks does a great job as lead.
Check out Black Snake Moon with Samuel L Jackson. Just as good - and still half of the film topless....

Watched "Four Lions" - Chris Morris's very dark comedy about British jihadi suicide bombers. Brilliant with moments of sheer comedy genius (see clip). Highly recommended. 8/10
I watched Scott Pilgrim vs the World and thought it was pretty good. Some people may be put off by its comic style but I liked it. Definitely one of the better adaptations.
I also saw the A Team while on the plane and thought it was pretty good switch your brain off fun.

I also saw Remember Me with the Twilight fellow and Pierce Brosnan and the blonde girl from Lost. It was an interesting movie, a bit slow in places and pretty dark, and the Twilight guy is pretty annoying (although it could be good acting as maybe his character was meant to be like that*). Ending was interesting although I'm still uncertain how to take it.

*On that note I thought Penelope Cruz should have won an Oscar for Blow. Up until that movie I thought she was flippin hot. However her character was so nasty that I've only just come around to liking her again. That was true convincing acting.

Much aqs I've usually enjoyed the Coen's I can't see how they could posibly improve on an all time comedy classic. Hanks is also no Alec Guiness

Got to see the The Expendables last night, talk about giving you what it says on the tin. Good, extremely dumb, fun. Some truly awful dialogue added to it's 80s feel.

The wife was suffering greatly, another sign it was bang on the money in 80s action cheese.

Only thing I didn't like was the slight torture porn of the woman, unnecessary I thought.

Watched "The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It"

A very good piss take of some great recent movies. So if you like the recent Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Micheal Cera type movies - you'll find this very funny. Bloody stupid, and enjoyable at the same time.

If you're not into stupid childish humour - don't bother with it though. Otherwise - ENJOY!~

Kick Ass! Great movie, very enjoyable, even Mrs Mariner had fun. Some laugh out loud moments, but the whole premise is pretty amusing, and well put together. Definitely recommend.

That's quite possibly the best review I've ever seen, pretty much agree with all the points he made good and bad. I hadn't even clicked about the Prime Directive being chucked out the window.

Have you seen any of his other reviews? He's the guy who spent an hour eviscerating the first two Star Wars prequels.
