Classic Ioane, Ardie had to put him in his place

What does a post by the Blues that Ardie responded to have to do with Rieko?

    You are obsessed with Ioane.

It is funny how many people are annoyed at us being in the finals haha, we really do live rent free in a lot of peoples heads, and yeah, is there a player that cops more shit from fans in this country than Rieko Ioane?

I think people are more just disappointed that the Blues managed to fight their way back after such a poor start.

Can absolutely see them going all the way too.

Come on, we ain't winning next week haha.

But us undeservedly being there is funny for the reactions. People love to pile on Rieko Ioane but no one bats an eyelid when Sevu Reece carries on like a tool. Wonder what the difference is?

Huh? Not the best example naming Reece. He gets criticised a fair bit for being a tool.

Not on social media he doesn't, and it's very mild if he does compared to what Rieko Ioane cops. Here, everyone cops their fair share, no doubt, but im talking outside this forum.

Everyone has their breaking point and well, Rieko has reached his, similar to what his brother used to cop.

Yeah I wish I didn't haha, but the players do and they see a lot of the stuff that gets written about them and it's hard to get away from it. The opinions on there are also mind boggling to put it kindly.

I not into social media at all, and come from a time when rugby players were meant to be big silent type etc.
But truth is I actually like we have these joker playing the game now who aren't scared to be a bit out there, and stuff the consequences., whether on or off the field.

I'm not sure where to put this but I've been told Japanese Test lock Warner Dearns is leaving Toshiba and will be returning to NZ for the foreseeable so would be a interesting pick up for a Super team next year

They were all over the place - his dad was with Hawkes Bay for a while, and I think his Mum is/ was working down South at Mid Canterbury.

Edit: Wiki says born in Wellington, so get your hopes up

Honestly, I'm only really keen on him if he is planning to make himself available for the ABs. However, it would be a great pickup for the Landers.

Has anyone seen much of him over in Japan? He's only 23 which is still very young, seems like he's been around forever.

@Canes4life very good player. One of Japan’s best and most consistent - would be a handy pick up for them. I believe Blackadder (his club coach) rates him very highly so surprised they are letting him go easily

Was he the one that made that rapid break away try against the ABs that was then disallowed? I remember thinking he looked very athletic for a lock
