One of the most poignant things I've seen in sport.

Bit late to this but man, I couldn't have been more wrong with my Inter prediction.

And to think how close we really were to toppling them in the quarters 😉

Shame, but as predictable as a predictable thing.

It doesn't feel good, but I think it's probably the right decision. We had a lot of injuries last season, but Ange has to shoulder the blame for failing to improve our tactics, our squad should never have finished 17th. It still feels tough after he delivered our first pot in ages. The big challenge is to choose the right manager. I always liked Eddie Howe; obviously we aren't getting him, but a similarly young progressive manager would be good

A good trophy to win but I think people seem to think that winning trophies is more important than league position.

Man U kept Ten Hag after winning the FA Cup which was stupid in the first place and sure enough, their season was stuffed as a result.

Be interesting to see where Ange lands now - surely another decent size club will take a chance on him after winning a trophy.

An interesting one. Me putting my educated guessing hat on and saying maybe Ajax? They just choked the Eredivisie and their manager left.

Or who knows, maybe a Saudi gig, either way, I think his future lies abroad.

                  Half time

                  Andorra 0 England 0

Absolutely dire so far from Thomas Tuchel's side.

Thinking of Bournemouth, I think we will be ok with the raids in the coming summer. Kerkez out any day, but we have also come to terms with Truffert as a replacement from League 1.
I cant see Zabarnyi leave unless PSG come up with ridiculous money, which isnt out of the question but unlikely.
Kepa signing with Arsenal means a new keeper, Paulson will be in Europe this year I believe, but doubt he is back up keeper yet. Starting Travers maybe but believe we will be on the hunt for a new keeper, wont be Neto.
Semenyo also targeted but number will be high but think he might go.
Andoni I doubt leaves for Spurs but you never know, thats the one I am most worried about.

Feel for Wolves, Ait Nouri about to be at City, Cunha strong rumours at United, they will be hard to replace. Potentially good for teams coming up.

Gennarro Gattuso is the new Coach of Italy. The former AC Milan man speaks English with a Glaswegian accent after time playing for Rangers. He's a fiery character too so post-match interviews should be interesting.

Has Gattuso actually lasted more than 1 year at any coaching gig that he's taken lol.....

@African-Monkey I think he did a couple of seasons at both AC Milan and Napoli. Lots of gigs as coach and only one Coppa Italia in terms of silverware.

I remember he left Fiorentina before ever taking them for a game 😂

I feel like this appointment will either go really well or be an absolute disaster.

Wolves looked fine when Cunha was suspended. And now they have a huge war chest to strengthen with 7 Portuguese wonderkids.

That is the lot of the mid table club. If they buy well they will be fine

Transfer news has gone quiet now that brief window for the Club World Cup has closed - other than the confirmation of well signaled signings (Wirtz & Kerkez to Liverpool). Bournemouth are sitting on a mound of cash now with the Kerkez & Huijsen money but I haven't heard any rumours of who they are after.

The 3 Bs, Bournemouth, Brighton and Brentford look like raking it in from player sales this summer.

Transfer news has gone quiet now that brief window for the Club World Cup has closed - other than the confirmation of well signaled signings (Wirtz & Kerkez to Liverpool). Bournemouth are sitting on a mound of cash now with the Kerkez & Huijsen money but I haven't heard any rumours of who they are after.

we bought Truffert as a kerkez replacement, linked with a few others, especially a few wingers, but nothing signed

likely will stick with the model of buying fit upcoming youngsters than any big names
