Well another season and the NBL will be happy with the finals series going the distance and a smaller market team getting the chip again.

Hawks were the best team all year. They had the best balanced back court and a supporting cast that went 9 deep.

Hickey took a step up and played a blinder in Borge games 4 and 5. Froling was big for them before doing his achilles in game 4. Toddy Blanchfield turned the clock back and put in a couple of vintage shooting performances.

Tatum has made an impact since day 1 of taking over. It will be interesting if offers start coming from him back in the US.

United will be looking at some of their stars not named Delly and thinking they didn’t get nearly enough. Jack White’s foul shooting was shocking and it certainly got into his head. CG43 went quiet after a phenomenal year. Lee and Loe were foul prone to be really effective. Shea copped a bad head knock so wasn’t his dynamic best. The vet Ian Clarke was on fire. Tough shot after tough shot. Almost carried them to glory.

So the Yanks destroyed last season and now they've cashed out. I hope the new guys care a little more about winning

Not quite the NBL, but the NZ NBL (not worthy of its own thread). This Indian Panthers saga has been one ugly experiment.

Adelaide have signed Bryce Cotton for 3 years.

              Huge news.

Meanwhile the Taipans don't even have a coach, let alone a roster. I hate this club and i hate this competition. Wondering if i even bother renewing my season tickets for the 18th year. It's just not fun.

@Smudge Justin Nelson has a lot to answer for....
With Otago leaving at the end of the season the league is contracting rather than growing.

If John Rillie wasn’t there he would’ve stayed put.

It's also good that the Breakers are returning to their Kiwi roots by enticing some players jettisoned under Walsh back to the club.

Definitely time to move on from the previous owners. All the signs were there that they were purely in it for monetary gain. The new guy seems much more committed to being successful for New Zealand and for the fans. This is a good start

Not NBL but junior World Cup, NZ boys got a good win against Argentina. Argentina came home hitting lights out but we held them off.

We won our second game against Mali by more than 20. Interestingly Mali upset Serbia in their first game. We have Serbia tomorrow.

And check what happened in the Cameroon and Oz game. Ummm crazy

@Bovidae I reckon we are a strong chance based on what I’ve seen from both teams. We have the athleticism but they do play with high pace. The QF against Canada provided a good blueprint to how we could beat them.

                                  OUCH.

Just finished watching the game, well most of it anyway. USA were on fire. Their ball pressure was elite and we committed turnover after turnover. USA coach had the luxury of bringing on fresh players to keep that pressure on.

One positive, our 7 footer Halaifonua looked the part from an offensive standpoint. He got very limited opportunity at Georgetown this year as a freshman, so hoping his coaches will see the value he bought to this tourney and get him more game time.
