Taniela Tupou released by Wallabies to be available for the Waratahs fixture. An opportunity to find some form instead of sitting out the Fiji warm up?

Or the hotel in Newcastle has run out of ham n cheese croissants.

I thought he'd be a sausage roll man...

Maybe when he lived in Brisbane.

But he's tasted Melbourne and now Sydney, so...

That's 5.4 million and 5.2 million people he's tasted! If only he was that busy on the field...

I think professionalism is making the Lions better and better.
The old disadvantage for the home nations of the Lions having to bring players together is being eroded by the fact they are full time professionals.

They mix at club level. They are used to moving between systems, and now thie talent levels are coming to the fore.

@mariner4life which is why I agree with Qu7ade's chatgpt column in The Australian that players in the Wallaby squad should be released to play for their State.

That knowledge and experience would be invaluable come the actual Tests - a double benefit.

I'm due to go see the Tahs this weekend v The Lions but I woke up this morning feeling a cold coming on. If it's COVID and I miss the game I won't be heartbroken

Melbourne Rebels mentioned, or is that an earlier schedule before they went defunct?

Early days I know but sadly it looks like a tour too far for Furlong. I’d also say that at this stage Beirne has played himself out contention.

I’m a bit worried about our props. Genge and Schoeman both have their weaknesses but should be OK. On the other side I really don’t think anyone has put their hand up yet.

McCarthy to partner the skipper, Chessum on the bench. Cummings nowhere.

Curry was pretty average against Qld so I wouldn't think he is a guaranteed test starter.

    Covid?

We are not still at that nonsense are we?

COVID. RSV. Influenza. A bad cold.

Don't know what it is yet but I'm crook as a fucking dog, can barely speak, and missing the weekend's festivities. Not at all pleased about it.

Yep and only someone who is a bit moronic goes to public stuff and spreads it around. Same with flu keep your bugs at home. We have had 3-4 the old fellas at Golf club just got over covid ,knocked the shit out of them for first 4-5 days. Real crook.

I disagree but probably best not to derail the thread.

We are all entrenched in our positions after the last few years.
