We really need to put them to the sword in the 2nd spell...so far under Razor we have let things slip if we get a lead, especially the last quarter

I think Tupou V has been enjoying playing at 6 this half.

Fuck still kicking away the ball BB kills our attack every time.

It’s the game plan. Blame the coach

Yes it is. It's easy to blame Barrett, but it's all part of the gameplan, turn the French forwards around and get them working to get back onside, and then open them up which creates holes should we look to run once the French forwards get tired.

And it's working well. Lots of negativity about the kicking but a lot of it has been bang on into the corners.

    Proctor more indecision on defence.

Still don't see what our Canes contingent sees.

Don't get them started this thread will become a Canes 2026 thread.

Riley Higgins and Caleb Delaney look good though.......

Am pissed off with the kicking, but there's an obvious tactic to kick to their rh wing corner and make them battle out

BB's options are poor. Some of that is on him, some on the game plan. His execution is largely poor, and that's all on him. High kicks too long, he's allowed them to take marks. A couple of corner kicks good, that tactic I like especially if from slow ball.
We genuinely looked more effective with him off the field.

What poor kicking that’s on BB he’s kicking the horrible kicks.

Yeah, but unless something's changed, it's down to the coach to pick & train the right players to execute the game plan.

Angled grabbers into corners are good, The up and unders on attack not so much.

Yep, and for me, as long as it finds grass, then it's what the coaches want. Basically keep the ball in play and don't allow the French to stop and walk from line out to line out.

It’s his execution that baffles as well as the ill timed ones.

By and large I don’t mind most of his kick decisions but he needs to find ground or space a bit more.

But there are ones where we are lined up out on the openside with numbers and moving forward that I think he puts the blinkers on and just kicks.

It's also down to team selection and coaching. His execution has been poor Test after Test.
