And kudos to Razor for the selection continuity - looked to me like it paid dividends. PT and EN slotted in perfectly.

I'm liking what I'm seeing more than last season. Whether it's the right way of getting back to the top remains to be seen and much tougher challenges await, but I'm seeing the direction they want to take.

Last year we lacked a bit of direction and looked a bit timid both on the field and with selection.

Yeah. Way better than last year. Periods of switch-off we've had since 2017/8 still happening though - whole 2nd 40 this time.

    Hey, wins a win right?

Good score, forwards were great. But we're playing faster than our (or any) talent allows.

We won by heaps but I'm underwhelmed. How does this footy go against south africa?

Ok. But yes accuracy needs to improve. Like the bigger pack and the tactics of speed. We still struggle with kick chase game.

Look, we all know if you just swap BB out at ten we'll be the complete package if everyone else plays like they did today.

Excellent performance from the starting tight five. PT paired with Holland was a lot stronger than the Holland Barrett combo last week.

Obviously the aerial game has to be dramatically improved.
    Our exits look marginally better.

Patty T did a couple of huge carries.
Our close in carrying was totally domnant and I hope this is somethig we keep on ice for the Boks.
With Tosi. Williams, Patty T, Lomax etc, we've got a really easy to implement edge.

Also, just a thought for the NZ justice system. Maybe replace jail with having to hang out with Wheeler and Dagg?

At the start of the game I'm sure Marshall said "All Blocks." Could be some advertising opportunity there..

Not sold on Kirifi on bench. Could be an opportunity to try out another bench loosie.

Pretty happy with that performance. Step up from last week, the newbies showed improvement. All you can ask for really. Beaudy was a massive disappointment.

@nostrildamus I don't see what he offers that Dalton Papali'i doesn't. And Dalton offers more.

So we finished with Finau at lock, Lio-Willie at 6, Ardie at 8 and Kirifi at 7 after Vaa'i went off?

No surprises things turned a bit sloppy. Hopefully Vaa'i is not injured too badly.

Happy with the game but getting really pissed off with Dagg and all the advertorials for the TAB. Also not sure what Wheeler brings to the package. I just listen to what Mils ( and surprisingly Beaver ) says after the game and then do something else.
