Really don't see the point of picking Bower when he wasn't even named in the original squad. Norris is the future, so why not give him another go. Happy with the other selections.
Giving every one a run that was named in the original squad and all the replacements that were officially added eg Bower and Papaliā.

Who will lead the Haka?
Sexton's bestie.
Rieko Ioane, the best player to ever play for Leinster? You can forward that to Sexton

Given the way Jase was fluffing Norris on Stuff I wonder if he picked up a late injury?

Some positives for me:
Patty T being fit
Lomax being back
Ardie remaining at #7
McAlister making his debut
Reece back in the lineup
The Chiefs 9-10-12-13 combo -

I was saving that for @Canes4life
Although I was going to wait for @Bones to post that Jordan should be starting at fullbackā¦.

Team is not as bad as i thought with Patty T available. I hope Jacobson finally shows why the coaches have so much faith in him. Finau has big shoes to fill. Sami T gets big minutes. Great to see Lomax back.
While i am not stoked about the backs, at least they have all played together a lot.
I still think it's going to be a messy performance.

So Papali'i covers lock.
I assumed they'd move Finau and shuffle the loosies maybe?
My thoughts too. Imagine having a 6'3" lock these days.

Agree mostly though hopefully some of the performance will be good like last week for 40 minutes.
The Chiefs backs have a good combination. Norris and Taukei'aho have familiarity as do Jacobson and Finau.
The tight five on paper is still strong at set piece time. Maybe with Norris, Taukei'aho, and Tuipulotu starting there is a bit too much of a carry focus in the tight five?
