Watching Love fail to catch McNicholl, how slow was he before he did all this specialist sprint work?

Love has never been express. He’s got great acceleration at the line. That’s why I’d rather him focus on 10 moving forward.

McNicholl showed for the Saders this year that he hasn’t lost much speed.

I’m hoping Porirua park isn’t permanently in the long term plans for the Lions. They don’t seem to get many people turn up. Would love them to bring a few games back to the Hutt.

I think the problem of taking these games to small stadiums, it kind of stuffs up having season memberships. etc, That's perhaps why they won't take the games out to Hutt,. I do think is they going to stay at Porirua, they need to contemplate a scaffold stand type arrangement.

Christie has shaded Lakai which also a concern given the latter is highly rated

    Lakai’s ceiling is much higher.

Lakai was also just coming off a knee injury and hasn’t exactly played for about 6 weeks. Wasn’t expecting him to set the world on fire in his first game back. He was solid on defence but had a few poor touches on attack, we know he can be much better than that.

Love was pretty disappointing today but showed some good solid touches in the second half. Seemed to be trying too hard.

FAB Johnny still got a bit of pace.

Unfortunately turned out to be Fwm Johnny.

    Presumably Fwm rhymes with Cwm?

@Chris-B 35 years old next month i really thought love would have got closer to him , JM kept 3 or metres on him throughout the whole chase
Would have been interesting race if Harkin had been defending in that 15 position

@Steven-Harris Yeah - Johnny hasn't gone the way of a few wings - losing all their speed in their late-20s.

There will be a few Wellington forwards who won't enjoy reviewing Grace's try.

They all waited for someone else to chase back - and Cullen was the only guy who chased hard. He came from more than 10 metres behind and outran them.

Louie Chapman can play - if he could find a few more kgs he could go a long way.

He is in line for a Crusaders contract for 2026,
Mitch Drummond maybe done as a SR player.

@Chris Yeah - I think that's the purpose of swapping Chapman and Drummie.

Ta$man has Christie and Hotham, so whomever is behind them probably won't get much time - that's OK for Mitch at the tailend of his career, but they want Chapman playing.

Yep that is exactly the reason for the swap.
