could you imagine our roster with Payten's inability to get his teams to buy-in and compete? No way we would have a leader like Fish there either.

He'd drop him to reserve grade to make one of his 'statements'.

He would have released Halasima and recruited Bateman

Cowboys under Payten were a one hit wonder 3 years ago when they had their greatest "pre season ever"

How Bateman is still an NRL player is beyond me, and to think he was one of the premier backrowers in the game a few Years back.

His massive decline is up there with guys like Shannon Hegarty at Souths, Dylan Napa at the Bulldogs, Anthony Milford 2017 onwards, Coen Hess post covid, those sort of declines.

Brutal night for the Broncos. Lose in Melbourne, lose their 6 and 7 to hamstring injuries in the same play, and then lose Cobbo to a hamstring later on. Reece Walsh continues to stink, and the Broncos are now terminally fucked.

On the other side, Harry Grant has been the form player in the comp since his horror show in Origin 1. Unbelievable player out of dummy half, at the heart of everything. On the flip side, Cameron Munster may be the most overrated superstar in the comp. He had that half of origin after his dad dies where he was superman, but he's been pretty average for the past couple of years. Of the Storms Big 4, he's the most replaceable.

Now THAT is a weird weekend.

The Broncos do what they should to a reserve grade side, but still no one thinks they're back

And last night was probably why no one thought they’re were back.

Pretty harsh on Munster, he is not a game general though like dominant halves. Always a threat though

Manly getting the full Jazz treatment tonight.

    DCE is completely cooked.

Canberra will win the minor premiership but i don't think they can win the comp

We're getting a Panthers Storm GF again aren't we?

Unless the Raiders can continue their good regular season form come finals time.

Raiders defended well tonight, and Manly couldn't deal with Ethan Strange. Plays exactly like Jack Wighton funnily enough, the guy he replaced in the side.

On Ethan Strange, it's funny how Lachlan Galvin gets all the talk, but this guy has been the far better performer out of the 2 young 6s. I don't know who will have the better career, but so far, Strange has been considerably better.

I joked but I suspect there must be something in the nrl Sydney media that is just there to bait Tigers and Dogs supporters, potentially because they take the bait.

You’re right Strange is a NSW junior who has got better very quickly and should get more media, as does Sticky’s Raiders.

Different type of halves and Strange is a lot more physical and plays more of a running game, interesting but happy to be proven wrong but IIRC Galvin had more try assists and lba’s at the Tigers. Again different type of halves

But right now the focus should be on who is delivering for their team and the media have gone missing, again targeting Bula to the Dogs as a story this week

Good post, they do have different games. Strange could easily play as a centre as well. Galvin to me is only a 6. Is a decent prospect, needs room, has a good running game and is confident in his ability to make something happen, which is part of the reason why he has a few assists to his name. 7 is far too close to the action for him.

Don’t think either have a long kicking game either which most elite 7s have too. Galvin I think will have a good NRL career, interestingly I suspect Strange plays origin before him, if Galvin plays at all just based on their styles.

But Strange does have more versatility and could play centres at a pinch, he is very similar to Wighton without the negative personality aspect.

However I hope Galvin and the Dogs poor wet weather form continues tonight for the warriors sake. Although I’m sure come Monday although Strange led Canberra to a win, nothing gets a mention, but if Galvin gets one try assist….
