I presume the lack of seating behind one of the goals is so they can have a concert stage go there.

Would be better if there was a stand behind that goal and the field moved back. Then a smaller concourse linking to the existing terraces

I see Eden Park released a video about the 3 stages. After a minute of fluff there is some details on distances in the different configurations

I do like the KOP like stand behind the goal…but am I missing something, with that huge concourse people sitting in the first few rows won’t see any/most of the pitch….

And the top rows will be miles away from the field

That would just be for concerts. (The hill).

If there was going to be enough people attending football matches here that the hill was needed, then why build it at all. There is already Mt Smart and Eden Park.

Google some images of 1980s David Bowie concert at Westrn Springs, and can understand why an architect wouldn't want to seal that off permanently from the rest of the arena. But I would have doubts it would actually get used, much, if ever.

Now Everton's Bramley-Moore dock stadium (officially the Hill Dickinson Stadium) is up and running in Liverpool, I can't help thinking something similar at Auckland's waterfront would be amazing.

As ever with stadium builds and procrastination.

People moan about the money but if you dont do it at the time and kick thw can down the road, it only becomes more and more expensive
