There was nothing else on, so i watched "GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra" last night. 
 
2 questions: 
How do movies like this get made? 
Seeing as it did get made, how did it not go straight to DVD? 
Actually 3 questions, did Dennis Quaid need some money the week they offered him that part? Just horrible. 
 
Sienna Miller does look very good as a brunette though.

Watched it over the weekend. Didn't get why all the Gods looked like members of some 80s glam rock band. 5/10 
 
Worthington was bad in what should have been a fun movie. All Aussie actors seem to think they're tough if they talk in a deep, husky voice.

Mate have you heard a metro sydney sider before? I much prefer the husky Worthington(though not a sydney sider) to a potentially female sounding lead.

Old farts who remember the glory days of GI Joe in the 80s who pay the money so they can whinge about how much it has been ruined. 
Sienna Miller in tight black clothing. Speaking of Sienna Miller, did anyone ever watch that show she was in about the US cop working in London? She was his flatmate and used to lie around in tights on the couch - damn she was fine, although as her film career progressed she seemed to get too skinny. 
 
Worthington was good value in his pre US movies but the life seems to have been sucked out from him. 
 
Speaking of Ockers, anyone seen Animal Kingdom yet?

Was certainly an improvement on the AVP movies and going back further alot better than Predator 2. 
 
Adrian Brody is a strange choice for an action lead, started with King Kong and i wasnt sure if he was suited for that role either.

Watched anime series/movie Afro Samurai & Afro Samurai 2: Resurrection. Samuel L. Jackson voices the Afro Samurai. Fucken brilliant. 9/10.

He he, yeah that was just shit. My idea of Zeus is certainly not Liam Neesen. The guy playing Poseiden looked particularly ridiculous. 
 
Worthington is one of the luckiest farkers on the planet. Most of the Australians that make it big in Hollywood are genuine talents but he certainly bucks the trend.

Two movies that are relatively new - are quite similar. 
 
A-Team and Losers. 
 
A-Team - not a bad remake of the original. Thought they did pretty well with getting characters to match the originals. Not a bad movie as far as corny action movies go. 
Losers, follows a pretty similar story. Ex CIA operatives who have been framed, fight back to clear their name. Not as many stars as the A-Team, but I probably enjoyed this one more. 
 
Both worth a watch.

Dude loses his job and meets hot girl. she is off to India for enlightenment, he answers an ad for an experiment to be put into a controlled Prison environment for 14 days @ $1,000 per day.

This is a remake. The original was pretty bloody good. Better than 6.5/10 IMO. Haven't seen this version but if you don't mind subtitles you should give the original a watch.

will have a look fo rit...watched The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, am sure I can handle another subtitled flick...speaking if them, anyone seen 'The Secret is in thier eyes' is an Argentine Thriller, won best foreign film at the Academy's this year, keep thinking I should hunt it out at the dvd shop!

Secret is in their eyes was a good watch. Good crime thriller Great use of flash back. Watch out for the stake out at a Boca Juniors football match if you do get it out.

It's a bit hard in the A Team to compare the two, The Losers gets an automatic extra point just for having Stringer Bell in the cast (idris Elba).

Do watch it (it's very, very good), but feel free to skip the final season.

Nah, you have to watch the final season, just compare it with Sopranos and Mad Men, not with the 4 previous seasons. In fact just remove one of the subplots and it's back up to the same level.
