All Blacks v Argentina I

All Blacks channeling Sam Nock and Angus Tavao in that last play
-
Take the win, flush the dunny and move on.
Newell, Savea, Jordan and Sami T were the pick of the ABs.
Holland was good too. Taylor is reliable as ever.
Christie and ALB were awful.
Beauden Barrett is rocks and diamonds. Proctor is unconvincing. And neither of the wings set the world alight.
Anyway, nice to be Number 1 in the World again. Long may that continue!
-
Vaai was awesome.

Before every one gets on the scoreline flatters band wagon, our set piece dominated and when that happens you give yourself every opportunity to score.
All the other dropped ball, poor kicks etc is what kept it close.

Proctor or ALB - an underwhelming selection choice.
At least Proctor did a few good things tonight in amongst the poor things. The problem really lies around the fluidity of our backline. Right now it isn’t functioning which isn’t helping newbies like Proctor settle in to their role.
So clunky.
Proctor has a lot of upside. Stick with him. A yellow card on D is not the worst offence.
-
I'm not gonna go in on Christie, enough people do that already, but Anton Lienert Brown. What the fuck was that display.

What upside, exactly?

Plumber needed for dunny.

We have some issues:
Why do we kick the ball away when you have a penalty advantage?
We clearly had the wood in the forwards but didn’t use it until the last 20.
We have to work on our on our aerial game. Someone has to go up. Someone.
-
Do we have a coherent game plan? Because it all feels a bit disjointed to me. Some great aspects, but not gelling overall (yet). Amazing we’re no. 1?!! Thanks France C

Something dreadfully wrong in the ABs backs. Sure injuries but they are tactically inept, lack any cohesion at all and look like they all just met each other before the game
I said it the other day, but Will Jordan and Jordie Barrett are the only 2 players in the backline who know what the fuck they are doing.
The rest of them are headbangers.

Hands, distribution and stepping are much better than Reiko. His work rate is really good. Every player makes a few mistakes. That’s the nature of sport. I think he will grow into his role.

Another question for me is: is Scooter the right captain for this team? He’s not even playing well enough to stay on the field. Is he the heart of this team?
