Good to win in the end, but that was a damn awful performance.

They all need a bloody long hard look in the mirror.

We're making up the numbers for finals. Probably lucky the Phins are smashed by injury

god the NRL season takes forever, still 3 weeks of regular season to go.

Interesting weekend. The Roosters are the darkest of dark horses after pumping the Dogs, who suddenly have the faint whiff of "pretender" about them.
The Broncos mounted a comeback to probably put paid the Phins for the year.
The Tigers may have put the fork in Manly as well.

At the bottom Wayne avoided his first spoon by getting the Bunnies over the Eels. But the two biggest spoon chances had absolute stinkers.

Good chance both Des and AOB go in the off season, and maybe Seibold (and hopefully Payton) as well. There are some fucking dud teams out there.

Tigers starting to build nicely. Got the makings of a very good team next year onwards. Souths too, despite all the injuries, are starting to bring some good kids through. Jye Gray and Tallis Duncan carried them to victory. Ashton Ward doesn't look too bad either in the halves, like Luke Keary reincarnated.

The race for the top 4 still on, with the Storm doing their best to get the Wahs there. 2 weeks in a row where they've helped the Wahs out.

Raiders have a hell of a talent in Ethan Strange at 6.

    He was brilliant tonight.

Do NRL teams have defensive coaches? Storm just scored against the Dogs with a clear four on three that was obvious from the start.

Wow what a game from Ethan Strange against Penrith. Edge of the seat stuff with several scores denied by inches.

Certainly unreal finish two great finals matches tonight. Top two might entertain resting players now. No chance for Penrith they won’t want to play either of those sides from low in the eight

Bulldogs blew that dropping 2 balls over the line. One of those games where Melbourne despite dominating in the first half, should have been tracked down in the 2nd. Couldn't believe how fragile Papenhuyzen was on defence. He didn't look comfortable.

And yeah, that finish in the other game.

Warriors conceding soft late tries to the wooden spoon Tightens is exactly why they're not going to be playing for long in September....

Yep. Was weird watching a team run up 30 points but not look like they were playing well at any stage.

I'm kind of hoping we're playing within ourselves at the moment (like the 2015 AB RWC team in the pool matches) and the team will be unleashed in the finals. But I fear we're at (TBH above) our ceiling.

Ah well, back in the 4 so πŸ™‚

Usually the case when you play the pathetic Titans.

    Brilliant round of footy.
Friday night was two absolute belters, with a game-winning try for the ages.
Manly kept their season alive just, and put the Dolphins in trouble
We beat the Titans, which isn't to be scoffed at given they have beaten us in like 6 of the last 7.
Eels upset the Roosters and gave hope to the chasing pack.
And then yesterday the Tigers scored the try of the year and were comfortable, only for the Cowboys to score 3 converted tries in 5 minutes to win.

Raiders and Storm locked in as the top 2 and can now squad manage the last 2 rounds
Panthers v Dogs this weekend another big game, i think the effort to get the Panthers back in to the 8, combined with their run of hard games will mean they are too tired to win the comp. Bulldogs need to win, their form is ropey.
Broncos and Sharks are chasing our top 4 spot hard. We've got the Eels which isn't easy.

Roosters have the Storm while the Phins and the Sea Eagles have easier games. 8th will probably go to the final round to decide.

That Tigers Cows game was a brilliant watch, hats off to both teams and both wont be playing finals footy, youd think they were they way they played. I'm no fan of Scott Drinkwater, but he really did carry the Cows home in that last quarter.
