The best solution to NZ Rugby seems to be to sack everyone and appoint Wayne Smith.

    Can we clone him?

    The side I'd pick is

    1. De Groot
    2. Taylor
    3. Newell
    4. S. Barrett
    5. Holland
    6. Vaii
    7. A. Savea
    8. Sititi
    9. K. Preston
    10. DMac
    11. C.Clarke
    12. J. Barrett
    13. R. Ioane
    14. W. Jordan
    15. R. Love

    1. Taukei'aho
    2. T. Williams
    3. Lomax
    4. S. Darry
    5. S. Parker
    6. Lakai
    7. Christie
    8. Tupaea

Love at FB I am not sure that is a good idea you are throwing him in to a high pressure high ball game it might ruin his confidence.A hell of a big game to throw him in to.
A big call sink or swim scenario.

If he s good enough, how long do you keep him in cotton wool ?

Unless of course they don’t think he’s good enough, different story

But sometimes I think this conservative attitude we seem to have developed when it comes to selection is part of our downfall

Ruben Love is 24. 3 years older than Max Jorgensen and 2 years older than Suaalii. He played well vs France 3rd test.
He is also one of the best under the high ball. FFS let rhe man play!

Wayne Smith is effectively a consultant/coach for the coaches - this was well telegraphed when Razor signed. He does the same with the Black ferns.

Also, I’m not hearing Preston is injured. Sounds like a minor knock at training today but overblown by the media.

He is a failure as an administrator (HB CEO) and as an AB head coach so let's not go that far ... he just has to be the assistant or at least kaumatua to every NZ rep team going forward.

He was a pretty good coach for the Black Ferns (12 wins in a row I think?), Crusaders and Chiefs.. oh and Northampton Saints + Kobe Steelers Director of Rugby..

As long as no one mentions how much ‘care’ they want to prepare or play with I am fine.

Scott Robertson on bringing in Wayne Smith to plan Bok assault

The All Blacks have welcomed back mastercoach Wayne Smith into the fold to help with their preparations ahead of their Springboks Test at Eden Park.

The Professor is with the team

Oh no! According to @Chris, Wayne Smith is the reason why Razor has departed from his successful Crusaders game plan and the backline is now dogshit.

    Team I'd pick:

    EDG/CT/TL/SB/FH/PL/TV/AS/CR(if fit)/DMac/JB/BP/CC/WJ/BB

    Bench: TW/ST/FN/SP/WS/FC/[ALB/QT]/RI

    Last 25: TW/ST/FN/TV/FH/AS/SP/WS/FC/[DMac/BB]/[QT/ALB]/RI/CC/WJ/JB

Realise TWM will go for something completely different.

Nika Amashukeli World Rugbys new favourites son will officiate Saturday nights test with a 40% chance of precipitation being around can’t see this test being anything but a grind and the Springboks to break the Eden Park record
I ran into the Springboks at Trust Stadium in West Auckland after their training on Tuesday fair to say they are massive humans got a few pics with them
Even Kolisi who looks shorter on TV is 6’3 and Malcom Marx who was standing
in the picture is 6’3 ..PSDT is from the scale on my pic looks around 6’5 to 6’6 and Eban Etzebeth is just a giant at 6;7
PSDT was telling me he’s actually lost weight in the last year really nice fella he said RG Snyman was the tallest in the squad at 6’9
Quagga Smith is not overly tall under 6ft but great body mass ..
Rassie looks super chilled and looks to have a great synergy with his players
Boks have their last training at Trust stadium in Waitakere this afternoon for anyone who lives or works nearby

Unless there has been a late change, Amashukeli is the ref for Wellington.

    Referee: Karl Dickson (RFU)
Assistant Referee 1: Nika Amashukeli (GRU)
Assistant Referee 2: Jordan Way (RA)
    TMO: Brett Cronan (RA)
    FPRO: Eric Gauzins (FFR)

That deserved so much more love. Some people need to review their Python ( nudge, nudge, wink, wink say no more).
