Force of Nature: The Dry 2

The girl and I were scrolling through Netflix and found this. Pretty crappy and forgettable. Eric Bana did his best but a bunch of women I cared nothing for went on a retreat in the wilderness, one got lost, Eric turns up and investigates……

Boring as fuck, some nice bush scenes and views helped a little bit.

1.5 corporate getaways out of 5 police investigations

    The first one was decent.

Never saw it. The girl mentioned that when pitching the idea of watching to me. Apparently the one we watched has nothing to do with it and is crap in comparison

    The Acid House

When Ewen McGregor bemoaned that it was ‘shite being Scottish’ he could have easily been talking about this film. Crikey what a fucken weird, depressing but strangely watchable flick it is. Three different stories kind of intertwined, Boab has a shit day and God turns him into a fly, Johnny gets bullied by his upstairs neighbour who steals his wife from under his nose and well the third one is is even more fucked up……

Some serious sub titles needed for the accents at times.

For a beautiful city Edinburgh sure has its shitholes and I think the makers found the shittest of the shit.

That review could be regurgitated across his career.

Yeah I can see how The Dry would have nothing to do with The Dry 2.

The books match the movies as well, the original The Dry is great, I couldn't get through the sequel, which the second movie is based on. Luckily they made the movie so I could find out what happened in 2 hours.

Just boring and full of characters I cared nothing for.

Eric Bana always makes things a bit less shit though.

I feel like Bana should have had a more illustrious career to date. He has been in some cracking movies but I always thought he was destined for a bit more, he's a superb actor.

He wasn't interested in pumping himself or others in Hollywood. Hung back in Melbourne.

Victoria still has Bonnie Doon. Smell the serenity.

There are many beautiful places in Victoria and while Bonnie Doon might not be the highest on the list there is still something to be enjoyed there ( serenity ) even though its not Lake Wakatipu.

    Kill Bill 1

    • last night - reviewing after the fact
    • from memory - it scratched the itch that OUATIH did not
    • silly stylistic violence
    • fun. enjoyable. no need for capitalisation

    titwatch - nah
footwatch - some, but not too much - it actually made sense
