Reinach was superb. He’s a far better player than the alternative in the way he gets them moving forward.
Can’t stand losing to the Boks. The worst thing in rugby. They were superb in that second half and suffocated us. We made poor decisions but the pressure got to far too many ABs in that period.

A few things i noticed
- Scrum has gone to pieces. Both starters and bench struggled aside from one penalty. Lineout fell apart when Brodie M came on
- We actually came out playing enterprising footy but that died a sudden death after about 25 minutes.
- Defensive highballs, we win maybe 30-40% at best. Then we started trying to do it, and there was barely an all black within 5m of the catcher, thats actually fucking absurd. We have absolutely no answer. How do we make it look so hard, and how does this tactic only flow one way

Completely down to the number of injuries in the Oz camp. If they have a fit side I think they roll us.

Second half slumps continue. The days of the ABs running teams down in the last 20 are done. The supposedly “bigger” Boks have finished the last 2 matches (and the 2 last year in SA) with all the momentum.
ABs have no ability to wrest control when they lose it. They play fine when they have control. Saw it against Argentina and now against Boks. Overplaying, poor decision making - call it what you will. But test match pressure is crushing the AB leaders and decision makers. Mistake upon mistake compounds and the pressure rises. Rather than reset and going back to basics, they try for the next Hail Mary….with obvious consequences they don’t work.
This is the nadir of the last few years. Some really big decisions need to be made.

Hard not to see this debacle as the last will and testament of the disastrous regime of Mark Robinson as CEO of NZR, who departs at the end of this calendar year. In fact, he should be clearing his desk right away. David Kirk, a business head I respect, should bring in a hard arse CEO willing to demand results or else. Razor, I think, is gone. He’s incompetent, utterly found out as a pretender. He’s incoherent, if nothing else and gives no indication that he has any idea whatsoever what he is trying to achieve. That incoherence is felt by the players, who look adrift. The easy decision would be to just f&&k off the assistants, but I think the pattern of these performances stems from a lack of coherent direction from the top. In short, he’s an idiot, a provincial showboater promoted way beyond his ability.
